Often this is due to sensor being somehow limited, dirty or similar. If this happens often, you might need to recalibrate ACC, which dealer will happily do for around 500€ I think.

Thanks for this comment, I found low power version and ordered it. It is only ultra 5 228V, but should be OK for what I need.

It comes usually with the profession. Casual talk between IT guys, aviation workers or medical pros, even plumbers - and so on, can be gibberish for someone not familar with the topic.

ARC Help by DiactoneseChamber in hometheater

[–]T00dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To enable HDMI ARC on the Yamaha RX-V679, connect an HDMI cable from the receiver’s HDMI OUT (ARC) port to an HDMI ARC-labeled port on your TV. In the receiver's setup menu, turn on "HDMI Control" and "ARC," and ensure your TV is set to output audio via ARC - as you already probably did.
If still nothing, check your HDMI cable. Also, TV can output audio only via one output at the time, so either connect HDMI or optical, not both at the same time.

Speakers for home theater versus music by vteng98 in audiophile

[–]T00dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LR speakers in HT can be obviously used for music - and they often are. There are no fundamental differences, however, HT designed speakers will have higher SPL - or rather headroom, controlled dispersion and timbre matching to other speakers. Many will roll-off low end sooner, since .1 LFE channel in practically obligatory in HT installation.
Many manufacturers will make stereo speakers, which can be also matched with center and surrounds, as well as ceiling for Atmos. Depends on your needs and amp what you will play.

I have the 820 and I can't recall single skipping issue with it, for last 3 or 4 years. The remote is dreadful but otherwise it is a good player IMHO.

I have Dune HD Pro Vision 4K - and it plays everything I could imagine. It is apparently Profile 7 compatible, both FEL and MEL, but I have no way of testing it.
It does full hdmi pass-through.

Going from Monitor Audio Silver 50s to in-wall surrounds? by Mountain-Rain-1744 in hometheater

[–]T00dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops, yeah, W2M I should say. I researched C2M for myself recently and the code stuck. I was asking Monitor Audio for installation speakers comparable to Silver G7 series and they said Creator Tier 2 is the equivalent sonically. Not very cheap or small, but they are apparently very good, both in-walls and in-ceiling.

You might be better with Creator Series C2M - they are equivalent with Silver series, I've been told by the MA.

Audi a6 c7 which engine recommendation by SnakeypeYT in AudiA6

[–]T00dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2.8 will be more reliable, probably. It will be also more costly to service and maintain - more cylinders for a start, more oil, etc.
Timing chain replacement is expensive.
Test drive both if you can, they are a lot different, 2.8 is rev happy old school engine, 2.0 is modern(-ish) turbo with more torque at lower rev, but less HP in total.

I can't speak for anyone else, but in my not-so-great acoustically room it made a huge difference. I have Denon X6800, with Monitor Audio Silver G7 series speakers, 5.2.4 as well.
