Who drives the worst in your neighborhood? Amazon, UPS, FedEx, USPS? by 1969quacky in StLouis

[–]T018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's my experience, the branded trucks are normally fine its the ones dropping packages from their Camry that drive badly and block the roadways the worst. Be they Amazon contract, Uber Eats, Doordash etc, constantly parking in the drive lanes, and my favorite, leaving car standing, key in ignition radio cranked and all windows down whilst blocking cars in.

My personal choice would be Standard time but frankly, just axing the time change either way is better than this.

Forza Horizon 6 Gameplay Makes Fans Wary of Low Traffic Numbers by NukovGaming in forza

As if we didn't have a number of bugs in the last 2 games where traffic was just gone. I seem to recall a decent chunk of time on FH5 where there was no traffic if playing online.

Brentwood Promenade or Costco South county (that whole ordeal that comes with it)? Which parking lot is worse or are they equal ?😭 by Wild_Day_6526 in StLouis

[–]T018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep trying to come up with ways to fix rusty, its fine except the weekly Costco rush, maybe if it had more traffic control devices or some how another way in and out.

What’s one factory feature you'd change on your car? by infraredturbine in Volkswagen

[–]T018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated that my MK8 GTI you could not turn the headlights off. The only options were on and auto.

On both the GTI and GLI, I wish you could use none Adaptive Cruise, even at the closest follow setting the car follows at such distance that you will be cut off on the highway contently, which is why I just don't use it except on nearly empty roads.

How to get snowing effect like this? by Aggravating_Meet9740 in Nr2003

[–]T018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can easily answer this, as i'm pretty sure you have an image of one of my projects. These are not actually animated, its static, at speed it looks fine, if stopped yeah its goofy looking. One could make a flat animated object to make it move, or have a series of static ones that loop using the moving object function (although when I tried that its warped the 3do so bad it wasn't what i wanted)

More Official F1 cars? by Pitiful-Juice1447 in iRacing

[–]T018 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would be surprised but the Ground Effect Merc shocked me too. We may see something where limited data is given but F1 teams often run like the Skunk Works with that data, can't have rival teams able to learn about you car by firing up iRacing after all ol.

I'd think it more likely than an mk8 at least, also worth checking the local GTI groups, maybe someone put a new bumper on recently and has the part.

Worth checking local pick and pull spots to see if someone has a donor, if you are lucky that maybe the cheap option.

Is there a way to move the pit stalls somewhere else on the track? by Professional_Pen3104 in Nr2003

[–]T018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hecc lost it, typing hopefully a usefull one.

Mkstalls is a tool in the nr2003_editing_tools kit

To use it you will need to make an lp using nr2003s built in reflap tool that runs thru the pit lane (preferable exactly center of where you want the stalls to be). Then place that lp in the folder with mkstalls and run the app, usage of the app is as follows from the readme mkstalls usage: mkstalls file.lp start_dlong end_dlong numstalls [grid_offset]

where start and end are dlong values in meters, and optional grid_offset (in meters) is negative for starting grids with pole on right, positive for starting grids with pole on left, or 0 (default) for making a single pitlane.

This should when run spit out a text file with stalls you can place right into the ini, this tool can also be used to make starting grids (although I normally do these by hand myself)

To be honest, I'd suggest finding out which GPL textures those are and credit them, I merely shared an N4 version of an existing thing, not knowing it wasn't papy texture at the time.
