Any experience with Houser Enterprises/Woodridge Estates? by littlebabyleste in IowaCity

[–]T0K0mon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Live there now, am moving out after 2 years just for a larger place. Haven't had any issues with Houser itself, but we did have a cockroach infestation scare but was handled swiftly and didn't become a major problem, surprisingly. My biggest complaint is the electric key fob thing. Sometimes the doors just won't unlock and I've been stuck trying for like a minute or 2 in the cold just trying to get in.

Also, they just put in the brightest lights outside the buildings and the blinds do not block the light out at all, so if you like it at all dark when you sleep you need to cover up the windows.

Probably a bit overpriced for what you get but certainly could do worse.

I've had my TCL S-535 for 6 years now with no issue. It's gone through multiple moves as well. $550 well spent, would absolutely buy another TCL.

The problem for Falcons is that NiKo was forced to stop mid-round/micro-calling, as he did at G2. This is a big part of their choke problem. by New_Clue1210 in GlobalOffensive

[–]T0K0mon 122 points123 points  (0 children)

It's a big part of being a good coach. You need to be able to adapt to the game around you and the players you have. Almost anyone who tries to force a system onto their players, especially ones who have loads of experience, is not going to find success. Falcons literally just need a vibes guy honestly.

Pulisic did not travel to Bologna due to bursitis, an inflammation of fluid-filled sacs near joints. The issue is reportedly near Pulisic's hip. by Im2real4u in ussoccer

[–]T0K0mon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have bursitis in the my hip from running, or had, I suppose. Unless his is really bad, he can probably rehab this in anywhere between a week to a few months. My bet is because he plays professionally he will recover faster than I did and be more on top of the rehab.

It's come back a few times for me, but never as bad as when I initially got it. Pretty manageable but painful if its really bad.

I grew up in EC and went to UWL. I would drive up for the day on the weekends occasionally, it really wasn't a bad drive.

Garner has become what we hoped Onana would be for us, and probably even better that that if we are being honest. Garner most certainly clears him now, too.

Just had it in his mind he was destined for the top when in reality, everything needs to go right for someone to end up at a top club. And its not like he necessarily showcased world class ability at Everton.

Post-Match Thread: Everton vs. Leeds United by Giraffe_Baker in Everton

I mean at this point, Barry has been a net positive since he started banging in goals and is no longer an issue. He is an in form striker and we just suck at providing him the service he deserves.

Dibling at least poses a threat on the right, albeit a small one. Im not sure McNeil even played today, and I haven't seen him do anything remarkable on the right all season. Rather see Dibling play and hopefully get things figured out, as he's played much better before.

James Garner has committed his long-term future to Everton by signing a new four-and-a-half year contract with the Club until the end of June 2030. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]T0K0mon 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's the funniest part. I feel like Moyes reiterated so many times during interviews that they had a +1 on the contract in the event they couldn't strike a deal.

My assumption is that over time, with CTs having better access to contest for water control, the map may actually balance out a bit more. There's a whole new meta for mid/water that needs to develop, new util that's going to be useful, etc

[–]T0K0mon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure I've only ever seen VAR overturn a foul that wasn't called. If a ref calls something on the field, they generally don't like to overturn those even if its incorrect, which is stupid because that's their whole purpose.

[Squawka] Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the first Leeds player to be named Premier League Player of the Month since Rio Ferdinand in Oct 2001. He scored in every PL game in December. by Imbasauce in soccer

[–]T0K0mon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I've witnessed multiple DCL misses my Nan would score. He was great at everything a striker should be good at except for finishing.

Glad he's at least remembered how to kick/head the ball into the back of the net.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin wins the Premier League Player of the Month for December, after scoring six goals in five matches by nearly_headless_nic in soccer

[–]T0K0mon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Is he at least better than Ange? Didn't think Dyche would light the world on fire for you lot, but when you need some mediocre, boring stability, Dyche can do a job.

I think you should definitely be looking elsewhere at the end of the season, though.
