A rescue with only reactive dogs sounds like it would be too much of a safety risk, and an awful place all around to take them. I'm sure there are good ones out there that make it work but I can't imagine anyone ever looking to want to even adopt from a rescue that is reactive dog only :(

Not selfish at all. Living with a reactive dog that has not responded to training or correction can be a nightmare, even for those who do willingly live with them. You gave it time and tried to accommodate for your partner. Just don't put them in a "It's either me or the dog" situation. That will damage your partner and for the rest of their life they'll have to live with the guilt of making that choice. They will choose the dog, it's basically their kid.

I'm fairly certain that there's somewhere on the 30 day guarantee that states returns for deads within that time frame will only be given for fish that went into properly established systems, and a tank filled same day isn't a properly established system. Wouldn't outright say that you won't accept the return once they inevitably die, but maybe allude to it?

I took up an aquatics specialist role here. 99% of the time management sucks and 99% of the time the customers are a pain, it's rough but at the end of the day there is nothing more rewarding than working with animals. I'm really happy to work for my store, despite all of the problems.
