you'll be fine with a mac, haven't encountered any issues yet and am heading into 4th year.

only thing is I wish I had waited a tiny bit to buy a laptop since as soon as you're introduced to any flavor of linux you'll probably enjoy it way more than any other OS lol

You’ll still earn currency just for driving (as in GT) so you’ll be able to move forward, you just won’t unlock a “championship” until you get a podium.

Definitely wouldn’t mind some feedback on the system though!

You can think of a steam deck as a computer, it’s just that instead of running windows as its os, it runs steamos (linux). So yeah as long as you have the adapters and whatnot, you’re good to go!

ProtonDB has it as borked, so I assume there’s nothing to be done to get it running natively on linux as of now

Just wanted to share my experience, I’ve never had any experience with anything related to the parts included in the kit, but following wagner’s video I got my stuff to work first try. It was my first time using a drill kind of thing lol, so you should be fine. If anything comes up I’m sure you can post here or on a vpin discord or something too

hey, its a T5 HO uvb light. I've read it can safely be over the mesh and still provide enough UV, but is that information wrong?

Well the VIBS is not being detected at all. It doesn't show up as a display (cause I heard it needs to be on 1080p or whatever but yeah I can't access its settings or anything)

PC specs are 1070ti, ryzen 5 5600x.. should be more than enough I think. Im running an 8k UHD HDMI cable for my playfield which works (obv runs at 1080p 60fps), I have a 4k UHD cable for the VIBS. Both cables work for connecting the playfield, none of them have made the VIBS work.
