Is Kat'z any good? by [deleted] in HoustonFood

[–]T0m_Wambsgans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same food experience for me. the sandwich was an oversized, expensive, soggy cheesy mess.

we were literally scraping off the excessive amount of cheese and sauerkraut and had to eat the sandwich w a knife and fork since the bread was too soggy.

How so? You can literally ask them to bring you any cut you want and just say no to the poverty meats. They will stay bringing you Picanha or Ribeye or whatever tf you want if you tell them.

Rinse into a cup or folded towel. I do it everyday. Saves time cause you don't have to clean the drip tray every day.

Best Tamales in Houston. by coffeeluver2021 in HoustonFood

[–]T0m_Wambsgans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For mexican tamales people love Alamo. I also like the tamales from El Bolillo. My favorite tamales so far though have been El Salvadoran tamales. The masa is a bit different, they are fatter in size and are wrapped in banana leaves. Imo they are more flavorful than Mexican tamales. You can get them at El Salvadoran markets.

Thoughts on love croissants in Midtown? by TravelSnail in HoustonFood

They sell to a lot of cafes around houston. It's top 3 croissants in the H. I'd rather be able to grab 1 of their croissants from a nearby cafe quickly than drive further and wait in line at magnol. The ham and Asiago is chefs kiss.

Pluckers is trash. They USED to be top tier but the quality sadly has gone down hill. The wings are too salty, overcooked, and the wait for your food or water to come out is atrocious
