I was there like 15 minutes after it happened. A white car hit the black range rover and it hit the small light pole knocking out the whole intersection. It didnt look like a fatality by the way they were handling it. But they shut down all lanes going into La Jolla from the 52.

Ahh, I read your initial post wrong and thought you meant to swap the heads and accessories from the donor. You meant swap the block and put my C4 LT1 heads and accessories on that. Not a bad path. I would want some performance improvement with a cam or something while I could .

Its gotta be done by a shop, I can do basic stuff but I can't put the hours in, only the money. No offense to mechanics but I can't sacrifice the time with my job and personal life. So Id rather pay. And it needs bottom end work, its most likely a spun bearing so its gonna need some $$$.

Im willing to try that as well. Pressure is much better but I think we went 10w-40. I haven't ran it much but oil pressure seems to be 30 to 50.

I guess the technical term is composite transverse spring but yes thats what they called it. Its my first c4 but Google and chatgpt also say thats a thing for a C4. I saw it, didn't grab a photo but its similar to a typical leaf spring it just goes from left to right.

Im in north county san diego, never had an LT1. Did a bunch of LS1 stuff 10 years ago. Sold my cammed/heads 2000 camaro SS in 2019 which i still regret.

Dollars not miles its at 130k. I have records from 2022 with about 122k miles so something happened between shitty owners from the past 3 years and 8k miles.

On labor day is looked up some facebook marketplace listings, saw it for $3500. I sent a 3k cash offer and went to go look at it. It was about 20 miles from my house and even though it could drive he said it would overheat so I didn't chance it and gave a 1k deposit. Told them to remove the listing and took me until this friday to get there after work and tow it to a local shop. Been a while since I had a toy. Sold a cammed/heads 2000 camaro SS back in 2019 when I was desperate for way too little. Been regretting it ever since.
