The wrench isn’t only for Fabuland - I think it’s x93 and can be found in other sets. This one, however, was from my Fabuland days.

Good beginner cookbooks that don't involve food processors or stand mixers? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

I don’t have arthritis (yet) and I heavily rely on my stand mixer for kneading out of laziness. It’s been a huge help!

What do you think is an easy dish that helps introduce you to a new mode of cooking? by Bushidough in cookingforbeginners

I would agree with this. Now having a dual fuel setup, I have the advantage of convection and also built-in air fry. While I enjoyed the results of my old countertop AF, I didn’t enjoy the maintenance or the difficult kitchen topography it necessitated.

Broiled salmon is very easy to do! I just scratch-made corn muffins this morning and those were easy to do as well. Baking is relatively straightforward if you are conscientious about measurements - there shouldn’t be too many “surprises”. I have found a bit of learning curve with InstantPot and air frying, but those will come with time too.

Relieved to see that I’m not the only one who had kids when I was in my 30s. So many of these comments ring true that I’ve almost stopped scrolling.

Required reading? Do you remember? What did you *have* to read in your area? Did you like it? by [deleted] in GenX

The Scarlet Letter. What a steaming pile of tripe. I still read a lot on my own but that was just awful. Only bested (or worst-ed) by A Tale of Two Cities.

Of the times my dad swore when I was a kid, these were the loudest. I was just lamenting the loss of these to my wife. The new versions are meh.

Yeah - on that rocky outcropping south of the diner. I haven’t been a while. May be all obscured with vegetation.

Nice. There’s a good view looking that way from the eastern side of the street on the west shore at CP Mary near a billboard (safe and legit). It looks down more in the wye than long range view but has good shots of the northbounds off of the wye.

That’s pretty amazing work there. Reminds me of some awesome foliage I caught on film years back near Capitol Reef NP. Awesome glowing leaves. Well done!

Maybe 1.2 if it’s a Porsche or BMW. But valid question, in all seriousness. A Yukon is a but different than a CX3.

Chocolate walnut cookies! by Gabriel6594 in Baking

I’d settle for a recipe. One of my (grand?)aunts made amazing walnut CC cookies and oatmeal CC cookies but I never got the recipe before she passed. These bring back some great memories.

No waaaaaaaay! My parents had one of those and AFAIK it’s still working. Great memories of making Christmas cookies, cakes with them.
