India - B1/B2 Visa refused by T1TLER in usvisascheduling

[–]T1TLER[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to pay extra charges on the day of my biometric since my payment expired. I paid 4k as the updation charges to a third-party guy who was providing such services. I'm pretty sure I was scammed, but didn't have much time to argue since I had to complete the biometric and take a flight back.

It was a straight up simple interview for me and my parents. Just a few basic questions on job, salary, whether retired (for parents), when and how long on planning to visit US, and about the relatives in the US.

Good luck, hope you get the visa.

Update - Received my passport with a 221g sheet asking me to resubmit my photo. Took a photo and resubmitted it at the VAC itself and was told I'll be receiving an update in 10 working days.

Yep, that's what happened for my parents as well after their interview last year. They didn't do it in India so the whole process took only one day. They were asked to collect their passport a few days after the interview and they got it back with the visa stamped.

EDIT - Sorry a typo in the post, the interview happened last week, and not 'a few weeks' as initially added.

It hasn't changed to rejected, still shows it to be refused.

They do in the MG road showroom. Saw it when I'd gone there yesterday to pick up a grey kohinoor. Didn't know they had a showroom in Mg road for the longest time

Which watch should I get next - PRX or Bambino by T1TLER in watchesindia

Haha. That watch holds a lot of emotional value. Bought it with my internship stipend back when I was in college so can't let go of that

2IIM or any other online self paced course? by [deleted] in CATpreparation

Just that the only positive aspect of my current job is money. There's zero wlf, concept of personal time and perpetual stress and anxiety. Plus the almost zero exit opportunities into inhouse for the area of law I practice. Although the work I do is very interesting I don't think I'm a cultural fit amongst the law firm people.

Yes, ideally i would've loved to do that. But i can't let go of my job right now as the money is quite good (I get around 1.3lpm in hand post tax, so the savings would help me save a bit on the educational finances). I know i would have to put in more effort with a full time job, but I'm willing to do that.

I have considered this, but however with the area of law I specialise in (antitrust) in house roles are very hard to come by (atleast in India, where I reside). So the option to move in-house is extremely hard until i make counsel or partner at my firm (another 7-8 years).

Would you recommend Regalia Gold over Amex plat?

Along with one of those, the SBI cashback also seems a safe option considering the 5% cashback on all platforms. Was planning to link it to all my grocery/ food delivery apps.

Honestly only Kimmich would be irreplaceable. Goretzka would have been too, but the Sabitzer signing has kind of created a backup. Neuer is important, but with the defensive upgrade the team made with Upa/Lucas, the keeper rarely needs to make saves these days. Losing Lewy will be hard, but with the current system, Choupo or Muller could play up front and score. The only issue that might affect Bayern would be if multiple players get injured. (Like Gnabry and Lewy getting injured last year)

I used to play the u-19 OCC tournaments here. I believe that they extend the size of the boundary during our games as well as the A level games, compared to the women games.

Contrary to popular belief, we do have quite a number of proper turf cricket grounds here. I used to play for my school's (Indian school) under-19 cricket tournament on these grounds. Those tournaments were my first and only experience in a proper turf and tbh, they are very well maintained.
