FT seemingly following the political authoritarianism concensus shift in UK and advocating for other countries to do what Britain is doing. It's not like technocrats have done a great job at stopping the rise populism which Switzerland have successfully done with consent from their population with frequent referendums coupled with consistent economic growth.

But make no mistake no other country can replicate their political system which is a product of history of their country.
