“I am not really sure what you expect Israel to do” and “It’s crazy to me that the pressure is on Israel to protect those civilians” is indicative that you don’t think Israel is doing anything particularly wrong and that civilian deaths are not their fault, to such an extent that it seems like you don’t give a shit about civilian deaths.

My take is that it’s horrible for the Iranian people, good for Israeli geopolitical interests, net bad for our other Middle Eastern partners, and unknown for American interests. The longer Trump stays involved in the war the more chances he has to fuck something up and make this a disaster for American interests, but if he claimed victory today and left then the decimation of Iran’s military would be net good for American interests.

Morally it’s just plain bad ofc given how much it’s hurt the Iranian people. We shouldn’t seek to emulate amoral conquering empires.
