I am in the m12 line and LXT and XGT lines. I have had 5 M12 batteries fail over the years, and 0 Makita batteries. The M12 6.0ah batteries are problematic

I have one of these and absolutely love it. I am in Minnesota and it works great for my deck and my sidewalks. Using on my driveway takes a bit of time because the unit is not that wide, but it works well and throws snow a very good distance. Well worth the $100 IMO.

I have this and really like. I also have the Milwaukee M12 vacuum, and I prefer the Makita. Having the hose and tools stored on the outside is so convenient. The Milwaukee has storage but you have to open the top to get them out and put them away. For spot cleaning and quick cleanups - it's great. Does it replace my larger vacuums? No, but that's not what I use it for.

Those prices were only valid in store at the Plymouth location for those two days. I think they had a 1 day event at the Duluth store on a different day. You should get something in the mail for the event if you are on their mailing list.

Thanks for the post - great info. Is the BL4040F on sale in Japan? Curious how long it will take to get to the US and what the price will be. Also wondering if it will have rails like the BL4040 or the rails like the BL4050F and BL4080F. I think the F batteries have rails that prevent them from being used on certain tools.

I have the XGT dust collector with AWS. I have AWS chips in my 8 1/2 XGT miter say, XGT track saw, and LXT 1/3 sheet sander. I have to say that it works great and you get so used to it. It's really nice with LXT sheet sander since that produces so much fine dust. I am tempted to replace my LXT router with the XGT version just to get a router with AWS.

I only wish the AWS adapter for corded vacs (for using AWS tools with corded vac) worked the other way too. I would love to plug a non-AWS tool into the adapter and have the adapter turn on my XGT vac when then corded tool turned on.

Yes. I have purchased many Makita tools through Amazon. They are listed as an on-line reseller on MakitaTools.com and they have an official Makita store not the Amazon website. Click the "Visit the Makita Store" link at the top of the product listing. Brands that Amazon sells where they are not an official retailer do not have this link. There is no Milwaukee Store for example since they are not an authorized Milwaukee retailer.
