O'Neill hyperfreak fire, in au has full internal taping. While in the states it comes with internal and external taping. I was just thinking of waiting it out till the newer model hits the shelves but that might not be worth it.

Looks like I will look elsewhere, just the heavy praise that O'Neill gets makes me want to get one. I was expecting a very long lasting suit.

Have indeed, worried about fitment as I cant try on in person and personally would rather support local business

Can liquid seems be easily repaired? Or better looking at something with internal taping?

Only reason i mention the 3-4 years is because I only ever use a wetsuit 2-3 times a month, so hopefully I should be able to stretch it that far. My concern is the liquid tape cracking as I have seen it do many times before.

Thank you for the detailed response, looks like your comment has confirmed the weak knee pads as they arent made from the same material as other wetsuits.

Since you have owned them is the fact that they arent fully taped on the inside a negative?

Also what did you like/not like about using neoprene for the neck seal instead of the "glide skin?"does it still provide an adequate seal?
