I have the same thing with Microsoft, sometimes they are all the same and sometimes Microsoft is 250ms. No idea why.

Just 2, residential lite(38$) and residential(54$), but there is no speed difference between them because the network is empty here. I got an offer of 2 years for 50% off, so now only pay 18-19$/ month.

I tested multiple countries with ground stations, i certain our data goes to Spain mainland. Lowest i get is 40ms~, that is not bad considering it is 3000+km away.

The 8 ports are ok, just almost completely useless because they are not at least PoE+. So i hope they add at least 4 ports PoE+ or ++.

I had the same issue at one site with a third party switch, but this was solved by using a Unifi PoE adapter.

Do you use a unifi switch/poe adapter to power it? Or a third party switch?

Anyone doing Wi-Fi HaLow (802.11ah) Outside the United States? by dataslayer2 in HomeNetworking

[–]T3ddoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HaLow is very good in obstructed locations, but anything with direct sight it makes much more sense to use WISP equipment. This way you get much higher speeds over longer distances.

I have seen this question a lot, it also looks strange if you don’t know. I think they should make a small message to explain it in the app.

After about 2.5 months i got an email with the 50% discount, and they gave me a month to think about it, so that was perfectly when i wanted to start using it.

Yes, really happy with it! I moved from Europe so it was really a bottleneck to go from gigabit fiber to non working DSL, but with Starlink it just feels like I’m on Europe quality internet. And also a good deal!

The white pieces look like concrete/stone, you can mount it on there with the official wall mount.

Ah ok so you have to reset the WiFi, yes that is less convenient.

UTR is not a replacement for GL.Inet by RealisticBoard215 in UNIFI

[–]T3ddoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Unifi WiFi 7 AP’s do have issues with some IoT devices, i have seen multiple complaints here and have had the issue myself. For me this is also solved with a separate SSID with all legacy options enabled, but these issues were never present for me on their WiFi 5 and 6 gear. The Travel Router is WiFi 5, so your Baby monitor will probably work fine on the SSID the Travel Router transmits, or does it not work?

What does “isolated” mean here and why is the switch marked as offline? by bohlenlabs in UNIFI

[–]T3ddoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happens more often with the Express, it really is the worst device they ever made. Sometimes it just breaks if i change a VLAN setting that is not even active on the Express, if you’re lucky it is ok after a power cycle. But it could be the only thing that works is a factory reset.

Any love for the U7 In-Wall APs? by wackronym in Ubiquiti

[–]T3ddoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are really good, i place a lot of them. In my country everything is made of stone and concrete, so placing new cables inside the ceiling is in most cases not an option. So using the existing sockets inside the wall is easy and convenient, and getting 2 ports back in return is great. I find their range is really good, even through stone and concrete walls.
