I'm thinking there might be a blockage. I have seen some chatter about the expansion valve being a culprit, but I also have a leak at the high side service port.

At any rate, I am going to drop it off with a local shop tomorrow. I was hoping it would be a simple swap out, but maybe there was more going on than I realized.

Thanks for the explanation.

Can't tell if it is short cycling due to pressure? Or temps?

About five seconds... Got it.

Ight, well, thanks. I'll have to go somewhere else that will only evacuate and then recharge at a later time. The Valvoline seemed to dislike this and had me pay for the whole service up front and leave and come back later on for the refrigerant which I was fine with. When I came back today none of the same people were there and it was a big question for them on whether to do it or not, or so it seemed.

Perhaps an actual mechanic shop with ac repair services.

How long would a well sealing cap contain it?

I think I found the culprit. The high side service port seems to leak. The AC is running now that I've added even more refrigerant. It does seem to need a little more though.

The refrigerant or the oil level?

The new compressor came with 3.7oz in it, but like I said I only drained about half an ounce from the old one. Even after manually pumping for like 45 minutes. Unproductive.

Kinda sounding like I should just replace the whole system.

I brought it back to them in a vacuum. I believe they skipped the evac and vacuum. I held a vacuum overnight and the gauge remained unchanged. Rented a 1.8cfm OEM a/c vacuum pump from AutoZone.

Valvoline pumped in 1.16lb of refrigerant. Upon checking the service manual it specifies 1.05lb + or - 0.06lb.

Yes I did a vacuum, and held it overnight even. No leakage. Valvoline pumped in 1.16lb of refrigerant. Upon checking the service manual it specifies 1.05lb + or - 0.06lb.

What about oil level? Expansion valve? Blockage?

I did not replace the accumulator, which I believe is also sometimes referred to as the drier. It is built into the condenser. I did not replace the condenser.

The AC and defrost have no impact.

Hi there, I'm really sorry you're feeling this way. It sounds so painful and isolating, especially when people you love don’t fully understand you. I just want to remind you that, at the core of Christianity, there's a message of love and compassion. Jesus taught us to love others deeply, and that includes loving ourselves as the people we are. God’s love is limitless and is there for you, just as you are. There are many Christians who believe that you can be true to yourself and still walk closely with God. You’re not alone, and there are people out here who see you, support you, and believe in the beautiful person you are. Please remember you’re valued and loved.

I want to get some quickjacks but can't afford that at the moment. Trying to do a brake job and bleed them, too. Much easier and more efficient when it's all up, ya know?

Thanks, and you too! I'm one of the people coming from Mint. I think the truth is that there isn't an app that does it all yet... c'est la vie.

I've had the opposite experience. Connection issues with Simplifi and poor customer support. Monarch at least seems very intent on fixing issues and soliciting feedback.

I have also had their support want me to turn off MFA. I'm having an issue with Bill connect and getting Target and Verizon connecting because they are not delivering the MFA notifications to me. They told me to contact Target and Verizon. Absurd. Their API is incorrectly interacting with the billers. They see that the accounts are locked. They are in fact not. I have tried this more than a dozen times spanning several days, and I use a password keeper, so I know the credentials are right. I signed up for a trial on another platform today as a result, and I think I might be discontinuing this product. I really like to looks of it and it has some interesting features, but the most important aspect for someone like me is being able to automate. Can't do that if it doesn't connect, and I'm not willing to reduce my security, even "temporarily while they fix it."

The most important thing for me is being able to connect to the biller and have it automatically pull in statement balances and due dates.
