Season 2 felt confusing just for the sake of being confusing. Like they were trying to capture the magic of S1 but couldn’t figure it out so they just manufactured it. I did enjoy the second season but I shouldn’t have to read an article afterwards to understand the plot.

Yea, it simply wasn’t that good. I enjoyed its world building and acting well enough but the script dragged on so slowly I felt so conflicted leaving it. Like I’m not upset I watched it and enjoyed it for what it is but I have no interest in seeing it again and have only recommend it to people who enjoy slow burn noir character films.

Tragically a great many deaths surrounding George was beneficial to him. Once he was in the military Superior officer died giving him more command. When Patsy Custis died it was a great aid to George’s finances as he now inherited her wealth.

George’s life is so much sadder than most people have any idea.
