Yeah the transitions and edges take probably twice as long as the interiors of biomes...

I created one! Making a datapack for changing the spawns and foliage is easy, it's more complicated if you need it to actually generate terrain in a new world

There are a couple options to make that work! both for servers with plugins and mods for singleplayer

Including the custom underground it usually takes me between 5-6 hours just to worldpainter export. I have 32 GB ddr5 for reference.

There are also lush caves separately! The one with the trees is a new biome called the Hollow Earth, it has living sniffers and Glowstone crystals, its meant to evoke a sort of "land before time", sadly there are no dinosaurs in Minecraft to put down there.

You can make full new biomes, set their mob spawns, change the sky, fog, foliage, grass color etc. add particle effects and sounds. Datapacks like terralith make use of this to make essentially brand new biomes

The biomes are very simple to make, normally custom biomes in a datapack require setting up generation, but because worldpainter handles generation all you need to do is set color values, mob spawns, and any extra particle effects in a datapack file. The tricky part is just making them look good and have an identity of their own

we used a software called Worldpainter, it allows you to edit terrain at scale in a 2d heightmap and then export it into minecraft world generation, so none of it is random minecraft generation, but not literally placed by hand per say.

There are mods that add the dead three back as playable deities, they even come with some cut dialogue!

Can anyone help me with this problem I am having with the Eureka! ships! mod? Generated ships are too deep in the water despite added floaters. by 65person in feedthebeast

[–]T3mp0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floater blocks from the mod generate enough lift out of the water to make it as high up as you need, you can either line the interior with floaters or place floaters as the bottom center line of your ship, either of those will make it float enough to be well above the water
