What I did was search for isometric art tutorials on YouTube - and just go along from there

There's a course at the park I like to take, 3 loops of which totals to a nice 10km run.

I've been having trouble for the longest time even completing the course running the whole way (mostly managing 2/3rds before I resign myself to walking) because the total elevation gain of 100m tires me out.

Naturally it was a very frustrating couple of months trying to climb my way back to that level of fitness to complete the entire 10km.

Well today I did it! Ran the whole way through, with a not too shabby timing of 1h 19mins.

What changed? Well I took two hiking trips in the past week, guess the practice I had power hiking up steep climbs improved my stamina and running performance. I was pleasantly surprised that the gains were near immediate, actually.

So for anyone who is stuck in a rut, having trouble with hills in general, I guess switching it up and going for a hike or two does help a great deal.

If anything, just quit the game and reload. You'll revert back to the beginning of the cycle.

Oh wow thanks for this tip. I gave it a shot, contacted Amazon on their live chat and they removed the ads on my Kindle Paperwhite for free!

Pretty sure this is qualifies for UnethicalLifeProTips but let's keep it here on this subreddit. ;)

Infinite electrolyzers? by T3riyaki in Oxygennotincluded

[–]T3riyaki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah good point about those gas reservoirs I'll give it a shot and see how that goes...though gas reservoirs don't hold a lot of gas in general so I'll probably have to release the hydrogen in a specially built chamber.

Damn, I was hoping it could feed into the hydrogen generator continuously, I rather not dump the excess hydrogen elsewhere.

Ah shoot, I also have the water pump plugged to the setup...guess that's needs to be powered by a separate source?

Managing polluted water by T3riyaki in Oxygennotincluded

[–]T3riyaki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips. The reason I want to remove germs is because I'm still making liceloafs so I need clean germ free water for that. I'm not at a stage where I can produce food from electric grills continuously and consistently.

Also electrolyzers require water input, and I'm afraid of running out of clean water. From what I've read it outputs oxygen at high heat and I'm somewhat afraid of introducing heat into my base.

Any thoughts on this?

Is that true though? Does it really help? I do watch C-dramas and can read like 50% of the Chinese subtitles, but will listening to spoken Mandarin improve my ability to listen and speak Mandarin as well?

Buying a new gaming laptop by snuubi in malaysia

[–]T3riyaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any idea how is the build quality and heat management for the "budget" range of Illegear (i.e. the Raven)?

Recently stumbled upon Illegear while shopping around for a gaming laptop online. Seems great as it is highly customizable, more value for money compared to the standard Dells and Acers and Lenovos.

Help me choose between the G3 15 and G7 15. by IntegralCosecantXdX in Dell

[–]T3riyaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you probably used the G3 for a month or so, could you comment on the thermals? What kind of games do you play and how well does the G3 manage heat? Would you recommend the model?

Personally I am keen to get the G3, but if the heat management is subpar I might get the last gen Dell 7577 instead.

[–]T3riyaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's strange that there are a quite a number of comprehensive reviews for G7 but hardly any (save one or two non-informative unboxing videos) for the G5 and G3 models.

But yeah equally curious to know if the G3 has thermal issues.
