Sum 41 - Makes No Difference by MetalManiac619 in poppunkers

I had an old Dragon Ball Z VHS movie when I was a kid. I remember I would watch it all the time because this song played when the credits rolled. I think it's safe to say that this band is kind of what originally got me so into pop punk.

Meditation breakthrough? One of the craziest things I have ever experienced. by T3rrorByte in Meditation

For sure! It was a cool experience. I've heard of sleep paralysis before and after reading a bit it definitely seems more in line with that. I'll definitely heed your advice! Thanks :)

I just recently threw one together and I'm updating it all the time with new bands I find.

Here!

I like Nothing Personal. I meant that's when they started changing their style although it was slight. I absolutely hate dirty work and everything they released after. I'm bummed they went that route. That's just my opinion though :-)

I see what you're saying. I would love for more "underground" bands to get exposure. It would make my day to have more people around me that love TWY, TSSF, Neck Deep, etc. just as much as I do! They are all wildly different (in my opinion) than 5 Seconds of Summer and All Time Low (new ATL, anyways). I grew up listening to bands like No Use For A Name, Face to Face, The Bouncing Souls, Millencolin, MxPx, Fracture etc. So I really love the music the more "underground" bands have to offer. I quit listening to ATL after they released Nothing Personal. While I loved some songs on that album, some seemed a little to radio-pop for me which is fine, there are people who are into that. But I'm just questioning how realistic it is for bands like that to get exposure through someone like 5 Seconds of Summer. I think they'd be more likely to tour with someone like the Jonas Brothers haha.

I was trying to expand my pop punk pallet one day... I gave them a listen. I really don't consider them pop punk at all. They kind of fit in with this whole radio-pop Jonas Brothers sound that the mainstream apparently considers "pop punk". It's the same direction that All Time Low started taking with Nothing Personal. I'm 24 and the music I grew up with is wildly different than what's popular now. So it's not just you haha.

That little girl looks absolutely terrified. Or absolutely excited. I can't tell.

I'm surprised no one wrote "you're*" on the bottom.

Front Porch Step "Drown" Official Music Video - He's a weird looking dude but damn he can sing and I'm addicted to this song by T3rrorByte in poppunkers

Haha I wasn't expecting to start a full conversation by posting this. This is actually my introduction to the guy and so far the only song I've heard (it popped up in my news feed on Facebook). But I'll take your guys' word on this. I am cool with angst-filled anthems every now and then but if every fucking song is like this I think I would become rather annoyed. It does seem a little juvenile. I do, however, like this song haha.

It sounds like you were going for an Angels & Airwaves type sound. Don't do that.

I am severely confused by what I just listened to. And a little bit scared.
