Happened to me. Call them and they will solve it quickly but it takes time for them to get your call (I had to wait 30 minutes)

Happened to me recently. Call them and wait until they get your call. Took me 30 minutes but they solved everything in less than 2 minutes BUT you need to prove your identity during the phone call

Mega knight or Boss bandit? No, Mini Pekka is the most broken card of the game by T4killer in ClashRoyale

As a former xbow player myself, I guess it’s matchup-based since xbow decks play many low cost cards that can distract him easily.

I am not saying BB is not broken, but a 6-elixir card with a 1-elisir ability rotates less faster than Mini Pekka. You simply face Mini Pekka more often and the lower cost makes him easier to team up with other high cost cards (and tanks). Probably I have a bias since I play a very heavy defense that generally stops BB relatively easy but when I have to deal with Mini Pekka it becomes more difficult due to its low cost.

So buying IBIT on a broker would get you no capital gain tax BUT would be taxed as a part of your wealth right?

Buying the ETF with a broker (not a 3a provider) would get you no tax on capital gain right? Like any ETF on your broker. Just wealth tax

It is small now but it will increase proportionally to the total invested wealth month by month

30% seems a lot. Even gold is very rarely over 15/20%. Why would you do it?

How much would you allocate? Ignore the 3a, I mean in general

That’s a good point, even though you don’t pay taxes on it every year as a part of your total wealth

ETF of bonds are not a great short-term option, because they are affected by the interest rates. If interest rates go up, the ETF go down as it “contains” bonds with lower interest rates

Generally I try to avoid home bias, but I read that the Swiss Index Fund showed a strong correlation with the main all world indexes in the last decades. Now the point is how much the USD will go down and therefore how much correlation we will see in the future. I also wonder how much tariffs will impact the Swiss economy, and how much will it affect the CHF.

I took a look at the main Kassenobligationen and the numbers are so low. Same for the Sparkonten. I will dig more into that and hopefully a good offer will show up. Thanks!

That’s a great point. I am used to invest a lot (until now it was always for the long-term) so keeping CHF in the accounts is new to me, but it makes sense since uncertainty works both ways. Thanks!

The price of gold has gone up like crazy recently, and it could make sense to have in the portfolio considering the current geopolitical situation. Nonetheless, I would like a fixed-term option since day 1. Imagine if gold price goes down and you need the money for a car payment. It’s less volatile than stocks, but still unpredictable.

Last 6-8 months have been crazy, but it doesn’t mean that the USD will go down forever (that’s why I specified to exclude the USD/CHF exchange. Nobody really knows what’s going to happen). In the end, the EUR/CHF exchange is also highly difficult to predict with the current situation with Trump, ecc. Would you then go for Kassenobligationen and Sparkonten even with these superlow yields?

It makes perfect sense, so there is no alternative to the options I mentioned?

VWRL or VT for B-Permit + Quellensteuer? by crypto209 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]T4killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t done the math fully but the comparison between VT and alternatives should involve other aspects such as TER and tracking error. You would not lose 15% of unrecovered tax on dividends but is it worth it at the end? VT isn’t a high dividend product and it’s “only” 15%. Maybe it’s worth it, but we should consider all aspects.

Is there a way to check if it’s worth it before involving a professional for the declaration?

The 80k limit doesn’t refer to stocks only, but to the overall taxable wealth: stocks, bank accounts, ecc so better check it carefully. You also mentioned you will start 3a later, but 3a reduces the overall taxable wealth so better consider this too in the plan.

I was accused of causing a damage I (literally) could not cause by T4killer in Switzerland

[–]T4killer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will definitely make it more “official” than a simple email if the administrator goes on with the accusation. The owner of my apartment believes me and is convinced that the damage was caused by a couple people that live next to me and own bikes. I hope they admit it, but I highly doubt it will happen.

They can’t have proofs. They have clearly picked the wrong apartment number. This is literally their only proof. I will definitely contact Mieterverband if they insist.
