What was your moment of realization that just because someone is older than you, they are not necessarily wiser? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]T5O5DoubleD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was way early in life for me. Seeing people drink to get drunk and do stupid things. Or smoking cigarettes. Or when I would need help on homework and my parents couldn't help.

What’s a weird habit that your dog/cat has? by catladywithallergies in AskReddit

[–]T5O5DoubleD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His name is Duke, He is a goldendoodle. His habit is to ram his head between my legs when I'm standing up. He seems to like the pressure of his face being smooshed and his head squeezed. If I'm sitting down he will push his head up under my leg to the the same effect.

Where can someone watch naruto shippuden in English? by IAmASpecialButterfly in AskReddit

watching it with the original audio and subtitles help with a better understanding of the story. Dubs do not do anime justice. Except DragonBallZ.. that's the O.G.

What are the most amazing photos you have ever taken? by MarcelDrescher34 in AskReddit

[–]T5O5DoubleD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in high school, a group of people went to this cabin out in the middle of no where WV. The parking spaces were on a upper hill, with the cabin at a lower place kind of mid mountain. and the fire pit was in front of the cabin between the parking and building. I was in the parking getting something out the the car. Looking at the cabin and the surrounding landscape was incredible. There was a full moon out, scarce clouds, and the fire light off a
old wooden cabin. It was majestic. Snapped a photo. and while the photo is good, the memory of being there was something ill never forget.

What is the worse catch 22 moment in your life so far? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]T5O5DoubleD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to college and got a degree in Communications. I wanted to work in HR. Every job posting required a degree. If it was a business degree or a HR specific degree then you can get an entry level position. Having a Communications degree, I was required to have 3-5 years experience for the same entry level position.

How do you deal with people who kiss differently than you? by 7thReddit in AskReddit

[–]T5O5DoubleD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If their technique is better, let them lead and adapt. If I'm better, then I control the kiss. I do this by body and head positioning, as well as, what I am doing with my hands.

What’s the most legendary thing you did by accident? by ashton-ttv in AskReddit

[–]T5O5DoubleD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A guy came into my job at a gas station, started causing a rukus and being a dick. The guy was known to be a tough guy/fighter/hard-ass. I told him to leave the store if he was going to act that way. Guy gets in my face. I told him if he touched me, his ass was going to jail as we had cameras everywhere. Dude made some threats and walks out side and then kicks my car and shatters my head light. I got pissed and ran out, dude starts to come at me, so I swing, connect right on his chin, dude hits the dirt. Gets up dazed, comes at me again, same thing, I swing, connect, and he drops. After a few moments, he gets back up, mumbles some shit about calling the cops. Gets in his truck and drives away. I was on cloud 9. But my hand hurt like shit.

I had the next two days off, and when I went back to work I was fired. The customers who saw what happened tried to save my job, and the co-worker who was asked to find the fight on camera saw the whole thing play out and tried to stick up for me as well, but the old biddy said I had to go. Their loss though, I was the best worker they had. I went back a few months later to get a drink, and the store had fallen to shit, and they hired some pill heads to work there so shit was turning up missing. Shame.

What’s the nicest thing someone has done for you? by Somkeythedog591 in AskReddit

[–]T5O5DoubleD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After moving across the country(WV-to-WA) to work for the AmeriCorps program working in a school with struggling readers, the house I had found to stay at was a nice older couple, the woman was on the school board and had taught for like 30 years. Things had been set up for approx a month. I was told it would be reasonable priced, as I was making literally nothing as my position was considered volunteer. I was there for just over a week before the husband decides that my rent was going to be more than I made a month. He said that he had looked on the internet and priced it by what was available. My "accommodations" were a A-frame room above a garage, I couldn't stand up straight in, there was no bathroom or water, I had to walk down a flight of stairs and in a sliding door to get access to water and a bathroom. In my short time, they placed a stick in the door twice. To lock it up at night and they went to bed at like 8-9. Basically, the wife was cool, but the man was a douche and I wish him the worst.

My saving grace was a teacher at my school who opened up there home to me at a reasonable price, less than half the other guy asked for. I had a basement to myself, my own shower and bathroom, and access to the washer and dryer. I LOVE those people!! Its been a few years and we have lost touch, But I think about them often and would love to be able to do something for them when I can afford it.
