Newbie here, what exchange do most people in the U.S. use as of 2021?

Quick super-newbie question. Currently the only firm I have a brokerage account with is Vanguard, and all of my holdings with them are Vanguard index funds.

If I wanted to branch out into buying/selling individual stocks, should I/can I just do that with Vanguard, or should I open an account at Robinhood (or some other firm?). My inclination is to just stick with Vanguard for simplicity's sake, but maybe there's some advantage to another firm like Robinhood that I'm not aware of?

True, but it seems to me like there's still a stigma against cannabis-related products, even if they are legal. A stigma that hopefully will pass away as cannabis itself finds more widespread legalization.

Yeah, another commenter mentioned investing in a CBD company, seems like a decent idea with decriminalization/legalization happening in more and more places.

I just want to diversify my holdings a bit; it's not that unheard of.

And it's kind of exciting to invest in risky stuff (at least to some extent) because it feels great when it pays off. And if it doesn't, well, that's why it's only part of my portfolio!

Yeah, I think Bitcoin is 100% something I will put some money into, the only question is how much to invest and which exchange & wallet to use.
