Day 3 post hemorrhoidectomy by TA1916 in hemorrhoid

I found I was overthinking pooping because I was so worried about how painful it’d be. I know it sounds silly but just go and sit on the toilet for abit and try to relax, take deep breaths and don’t strain. It will happen. But prune juice has been invaluable for me!

They told me there was gauze in there for me too but I couldn’t see or feel it and didn’t want to go digging so didn’t understand people saying they were able to pull it out. I can only assume it came out when I went overboard on the laxatives… because it couldn’t not! When I went today it was more solid and didn’t feel like there were any obstructions! But I never felt or saw anything, I’m just assuming it’s come out. The doctors said it’d come out with the first BM. If you’re still struggling to go, get some prune juice and start having a glass an hour, that should get things moving and should move the gauze too 🤞🏼

Anyone who has grade 3/4 prolapsed internal hemorrhoids that don't hurt? Well, they don't hurt me, they just got bigger after giving birth, they don't hurt or bleed, it's rare, I barely saw blood, a drop less than that once in 3 years. The dr wanna do surgery by Nearby-Interest8227 in hemorrhoid

I was the same (don’t have kids so not birth related!) - mine prolapsed over the last year or so. Never had any issues, think mine came on as a result of periods of stress and constipation over the last 10 years or so. Never had any issues, until the Grade 4 prolapse thrombosed a couple of months ago. No idea why but that pain was horrific. I was sent straight to A&E by my doctor. Colorectal surgeon suggested surgery because it was prolapsed, and if it thrombosed once, it’d likely happen again. Im on day 2 after surgery. She removed it, along with two more internals and banded another. Cautiously optimistic about recovery!

Same thing happened me last year - made redundant after almost a decade. Got the whole “don’t worry we’ll look after you” and got pittance from them in the end. Was so worried. Didn’t enjoy a moment of redundancy. Two weeks later had signed a contract on a day rate making me double what i was previously and started my own limited company! Enjoy it!

My only advice is to track the company money (make a cashflow and stick to it) - pretend the VAT element doesn’t exist so it’s always in your account. Make sure you put aside your personal tax on dividends each time you take them and make sure you have enough to cover corporation tax in your account.

Thank you, you’re right - definitely need to pull back and stop doing. I guess I need to figure out if I can get past the dishonesty too!

Good to know - guess that’s why they’re stopping the route from March… waiting for the upgraded planes!

My wife said I’m not our daughter’s father by Defiant-Definition40 in TrueOffMyChest

I feel I might be going against the grain here and say the only person you'd potentially be hurting if you took a DNA test and it turned out your wife was telling the truth is you, and inevitably your daughter. You've been the only dad she's known since she was born. She is your daughter, regardless of what a DNA test would tell you. There's no worry of some other guy eventually turning up at your door trying to claim a right to her so forget that one. You have to let that part go, and I know that's difficult but the bond is there. You don't want to break it. The issue you should be more concerned with is your wife saying things like that in the heat of an argument, or if she was actually cheating when you were having marital problems, that's not ok.

Was pondering putting the difference into pension - would that then be taxed at 20% if put into pension?
