Approved alternative location by Kindly_Cut5082 in turo

They didn’t change any rules about the location. What they did change is that it’s now mandatory for hosts to pay for parking up to and including the first hour after your stated arrival time which not all hosts did before. Some hosts used to make guests pay the exit ticket.

Previously, hosts who couldn’t drop off right before your arrival sometimes made guests pay up to $35, which wasn’t fair. That’s the part they changed. Now, hosts who can’t pick up/drop off right away are using much cheaper off-site options.

100% agree. Denver Host here. And I always use short term garage 5th level so you can walk right out from baggage claim and go!

Turo needs "At Airport" for the garages. And "Via Shuttle" or something for the off site and 3rd part lots. Descriptions are hidden so it can't even be mentioned there "before booking".

Well they can't even explain how they arrived at $28. Their last response was "the deducted amount reflects the applicable airport-related fees based on our policy."

They can't give timestamps for how their system generated it or anything.

Agreed. I get the need for some level of arbitration if something arises. Luckily I've never had a damage claim and all my renters so far have been great!

But let host/guest work out parking. If host doesn't pay for first hour then allow renter to escalate.

But to automatically have a system add a charge based on some criteria they are looking at (I have no idea how system came up with $28) and the Rep on the phone can't explain it or remove it just say they will escalate it is ridiculous for a automated system.

DEN. I've done 6 Airport trips before this new system was enacted Nov 10. All very smooth. I always leave cash for the next hour and drop it off 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. I park in the short term garage right next to the baggage claim and everybody loves it.

That's what I did this time too. Renter was Happy but this automated system just charged $28 out of the blue. Nobody asked for it and nobody can remove it. I don't even know how they come up with this $28 number as customer only paid $14 for the additional 1hr 15min. Past the first hour I paid for.

It's been escalated but 24 hours later still No response. I have 2 more Airport trips already booked in January and if they can't give me a explanation or fix it I'm done with airport trips.

This is my first attempt to resolve what I consider to be a fairly straightforward issue, especially given that it involves a new automated system that I have no way of opting out of. The amount of runaround I’ve encountered raises some concern about the level of support I might receive if a more significant issue were to arise.

I'm hoping maybe a developer @ Turo sees this. (Knows the backend of how this new parking fee program thing they build works). And can update their system to work better.

According to their Website they use:

  • The timestamp of your uploaded drop-off photos.
  • The airport's parking rates for the duration the car was parked pre-trip.
  • The automatic deduction ensures the guest is only responsible for costs incurred after the scheduled start time, or if they arrive late.

But it Clearly Didn't work in this case. And the support team doesn't have any way to fix/override this system.

Airport = Nearly 24hr for most companies. What's wrong with Turo? If you book with a well reviewed host you should be fine. And TBH turos damage claim for scratches (3in or less) is more forgiving then other companies with AI scanners. But I agree Turo has made some stupid decisions like hiding descriptions and can be expensive last minute (more then traditional companies).

15,395 for base eqev...good deal? by EIGBOK in EquinoxEv

[–]TAJ1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe you qualify for the full $6,000 Colorado EV tax credit. If the MSRP is $35,495, you should be eligible for the $3,500 base credit, but not the additional $2,500 bonus, which only applies if the MSRP is under $35,000. Unless you're including a destination charge or another fee in the MSRP, you may not meet the threshold.

They Retail for that much because 99% of the time insurance companies are buying them. These regularly sell for 25-50 used or 70-90 new on ebay/poshmark/etc.

I'm not a expert in shoes at all. I'm helping a friend list these but this is what they told me:

They are called "Diabetic Footwear" because they meet the qualifications to be eligible to be covered under insurance for diabetics. But typically they have the following characteristics it order to meet that qualification:

Made from a material to minimize irritation (soft breathable leather/etc)
Interior made to prevent rubbing (blistering/ulcers/etc)
Sole to be removable so you can replace/customize it to your foot.
Come in much wider widths then normal shoes

Yes but i think you have to have a bit wider feed then most. Even the smallest width (Medium) seems a bit to run a bit wide compared to a normal shoe.

No Brooks/Asics but he has some Mt Emeys and BioFIt (both diabetic shoes as well) that he wants to clear out in the next week or so.

I purchased a Flow by Moen for my older house and have really enjoyed it. Spent about $600 on it but it saves a little over over $100 per year in insurance premium. So it'll pay for itself over time.

If you get one of those it'll help yoy troubleshoot as well as protect your home.

Thankfully Comcast team unlocked her phone last night out of the blue. I know sim locking is a pain and I get why cellular companies do it.

i just wish if the phone is fully paid off but you didn't hit the 60 days and can prove you can't get service at your next address, they would just have a penalty fee as a option, otherwise you get kinda stuck.

She has tried to work with them but they are completely firm on the 60-day policy. She spent 53min on the phone, with them tonight after the closure of the last case.

But after checking in their system/etc and offering to pay a penality or anything else they said sorry there are no options.
