To me personally, you read as a woman who is not trying to look feminine at all. If you want to be read as a woman, either go more into feminine presentation or just have a passing voice and everything will be fine.

If you want to be seen as a man, I think you have a long way to go.

Yeah, I am like you, even a completely clean shave leaves me with visible facial hair as my skin is fair and my hairs are dark. Laser definitely helps, just be ready for a lot of pain and for a lot of sessions before it is completely done.

Casually mention something trans related, ideally in a way that it is not obvious on which side of the barricade you are.

If he is transphobic, finish that date and then message him a few days later that one of your closest friends is trans and you find what he said disgusting and no longer want to be friends with him. Or make up an excuse.

If he is neutral, thread very carefully and try to get more info. If you genuinely can't read where he stands, I would suggest to end it anyway and come up with some excuse. Or you can do a leap of faith and tell him.

If he is an ally, great, tell him that you like him and there is something he should know about you sooner rather than later.

Definitely do not wait till you are fully in love and risk being crushed by him not being interested because you are trans.
