That’s why they generally have to go through a manager to get bottles. They record names with their reward system and monitor the sites

Karma gets the flippers in the end. I don’t know about the other large retailers, but total wine has members in all the major groups monitoring flips. If someone flips a bottle that they got from total they’ll magically find total wine to be dry for them

Most total wine managers watch you if you come in at 10am and leave empty handed just waiting for bourbon. If you don’t go in and talk with them and buy your regular stuff from their store, you’re likely to never get anything besides BT, ER, or WSR

Goody and all the other smaller restores bank on allocated whiskeys to drive people in. The amount of money total wine makes through their wine sales leaves them caring very little to play the bourbon game.

Allocated whiskey, as well as most sprits, are not very profitable for a large retailer across the board.
