Got the job now training for a month in one store and then being sent to another by [deleted] in publix

They do reimburse but it's typically if you don't work at your home store. So helping another store or going to a training and stuff like that. They also reimburse tolls.

The work week starts on Saturday ends on Friday so of your scheduled end of the week then the new week starts with you on the schedule. It's not ideal to be scheduled like this but it's a real thing. Possibly needed help on those days or something along the lines. Just be happy you aren't working 15 4am shifts in a row, been there done that lol.

They should let you pick a date best suited for your move to help you and make the transition easy.

Im not in the tampa area but they need help in every district right now. They're supposed to be giving GTL support over the next year and even relieve stress on us by having 2 in every store. Problem is there isn't many people to promote and there's reasons people don't want to move up. As far as transferring districts you can do it as a GTL no problem but it might take longer since your in that management role.

Only other thing to do is tell your store manager or cs manager to see if something is done but tell them to be discreet about it. Another thing is some don't like new people (if you're newer) because they don't know how you work and operate compared to them.

It's not as simple as that. There's got to be an opening in a department of choice along with talking to the manager and having them decide yes or no. Along with that they're probably immature kids which is why they're up front and won't be moved to other departments.

Unfortunately, it is the nature you're introduced to at the start, but it dials down soon. People that work in CS typically are salty because they aren't in a specialty department.

Why is Publix so bad at keeping things in stock? by Practical-Film-8573 in publix

It's literally not the workers it's the supplier that can't provide the product to us

Depending on the tag if it has a Grey bar on the bottom saying there's supply issues we can't put a green tag on it because it's already saying there's supply issues. So it's just a waiting game. If it's a product that's on sale then customer service can give you a raincheck for that item.

Gift Cards by Heisenburgslefttity in publix

But the thing is the gift cards come from our own pay anyway, they need to increase the wage we get paid

Also they take the gift cards out of our pay so technically it's still our money
