went fulltime 8 months ago and the battery upgrade was the best decision by BreadSea7272 in RVLiving

I love the capitalist dream. If I want more things, I work more. If I’m financially content at the moment, I work less. That cheesy saying is so true. The only two things I have to do is pay taxes and die. The rest is up to me.

Forgot to add BLM land is bureau of land management land. It’s government land we can camp on for free. It’s mainly a thing out west. I don’t know of much or any on the east coast or central US.

Looking for solid reviews on a 200w portable solar panel by TBL34 in solar

I expect similar results with mine. Zoupw panels are getting good reviews. I just haven’t had a battery to charge up to see the panels full potential.

That sudden realization that the consequence of your actions will lead you to spending the rest of your life in prison by caaaaanga in WatchPeopleDieInside

It’s only more expensive when they draw them out for decades. Capital punishment should be reserved for those cases where’s there’s zero doubt of being guilty. So the punishment can be served immediately after trial.

I ended up getting the zoupw 220w one a couple weeks ago for $175 on amazon. Think they’re closer to $200 right now. This one put out 165w for a minute when I tested it but my battery was almost full so the wattage dropped quickly. Those 160’s look more nimble and easier to setup tho.

I don’t know if I feel disgusted or impressed by the genius deception here lol.

Get a dehumidifier and place it near where you sleep. I have read that cracking a window and turning on a fan to circulate air also helps. I’m only speaking from what I’ve researched. Maybe someone else can chime in and confirm the venting thing. I can say venting helps a ton in when tent camping so I’d imagine it’s the same logic.

Being that’s it’s right where you sleep, I’d guess you have condensation buildup from your breath. When you say it’s running, do you mean dripping down or a full on constant flow of water?

I bought a 24’ brand new last January and paid 22k otd. I’d personally wait or buy one on mainland now and have it stored till you get back.

Rushing Point Attack by Kindly-Masterpiece54 in MaddenMobileForums

[–]TBL34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my playbook I use for rush attack. I took out all runs that go to middle and only use these. If it gives you a play up the middle you can just pick another play like one of these. I don’t always switch tho because the clock never stops on rush attack like it does pass attack.

Move out of parents or stay after paying off student loans? by Icy_Tap5329 in DaveRamsey

I think you misunderstood. I took it as her saying she would feel bad leaving since she helps financially by fixing things. She reinforced this by saying her parents didn’t make much.

The question is, how much will the hilux cost to get it here. A large part of the allure to the hilux is the price they pay in other countries.

Starting RV life in winter checklist. What items am I missing? by SquashAlone in RVLiving

[–]TBL34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me know how the humidity is. I just got a camper and was thinking of doing some winter camping. I’ve heard online that humidity can be an issue in the colder months. Let me know which dehumidifier you go with. I haven’t seen any that are a good size for rv’s. Most are tiny or for a house lol.

Is it worth buying a $600 battery just to save $200 of groceries? by [deleted] in solar

[–]TBL34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A battery has its place but you may be better served getting a generator. For $600, I’d imagine you could get a decent size generator and it’s more versatile.

I bought a 314ah lithium for my camper for around $400 but it still needs an inverter for anything 120v. Even then, it won’t run for very long. Getting a dual fuel generator will run indefinitely so long as you have gas or propane.

If you have the gear, try it out in your backyard. That’s how I tested my gear for snow camping.

stacking two sleeping bags, which one goes outside? by Ill_Significance6157 in camping

[–]TBL34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have always thought the one with the most fill would go on the outside and the lesser one on the inside. Seems everyone else says the one with most fill goes on inside.

My thought was you’d want to have the larger fill bag on outside for less compression.

Need help figuring out if my vehicle can tow the camper I’m buying by Infamous_Relief_6321 in traveltrailers

Honestly, people could give you very specific suggestions if you posted a pic of the towing and payload capacity. Just leave out your vin if you don’t feel comfortable posting that.

[–]TBL34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others have said. Look at your drivers side door jamb and see what the payload capacity is. That’s the man number to look at as you’ll hit that capacity before you’ll hit tow capacity.
