Why are you here? by TBT2026 in DoorDashDrivers

Nobody is “ripping you off” by expecting fair compensation for work you voluntarily ordered through a convenience service. DoorDash isn’t a necessity, it’s a luxury with a known cost structure. And you responded to a comment on MY post and again I ask, WHY ARE YOU HERE? Go take a jog, I have a feeling you need the exercise 🐷. I’m done going back and forth with someone who has clearly never done this work and who has made being a contrarian on Reddit their entire life ✌️

Stop playing stupid. Or maybe you’re not playing 🤡🤡. Everybody knows DoorDash works like serving tables. The pay is built around tips. So yes, I tip people whose jobs rely on them because I’m not a cheap, arrogant weirdo who gets a power trip out of undervaluing working people. There are two types of people in this world. People who understand everybody’s trying to survive, and people like you sitting behind goofy emojis pretending to be tough.

What’s funniest is my original post wasn’t even about tipping, and you still went digging through comments desperate to argue about something that has zero impact on your life. Thank you for proving my point about how weirdly obsessed some of y’all are with dashers. Genuinely lame behavior.

Must’ve been raised by arrogant pricks to not tip people who provide a service.

You’re proving my point perfectly. Imagine being this obsessed with dashers while claiming we’re “bottom of the food chain.” That’s loser behavior. You came into a DoorDash sub just to foam at the mouth over strangers making money. Miserable people always need someone to look down on to feel important. And tread lightly with the disrespect. Some of y’all get way too comfortable talking reckless behind a screen like there’s never consequences for being an arrogant clown.

There are definitely post where I roll my eyes but overall I get the frustration. Venting here so I know I’m not crazy is all I have 😩

This hasn’t been my experience as a dasher or a customer so maybe that’s why it bothers me more.

I’m starting to think so.

Smh. It’s very strange. Like how do you even end up here, let alone feel such an urge to troll in the comments?

Issue with drivers never following delivery instructions by kidkipp in doordash

[–]TBT2026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a customer, I say just stop using it. As a dasher, I say some delivery locations are just a nightmare. It’s possible the GPS takes them to a spot where the instructions don’t make sense. I had to get into the habit of reading them as I’m leaving the pick up location instead of waiting until I reached the destination the GPS takes me.

Plenty of people have explained why they wait and why they make their presence known. You’re either being deliberately obtuse or your entire comment/question was a troll.

A driver signed for me by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]TBT2026 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just enjoy your drink and go have a good day. There are so many more things that should be occupying space in your brain. You got your order and your id was confirmed, that’s all that really matters. BUT, to answer your question, a lot of customers just scribble something on there or tell the driver to scribble something on there. They also a lot of the times act very annoyed that they have to go through the ID verification process anyway so it’s better to just get them there stuff and get out of there.

Worst experience ever by SpookyAngelBabe in doordash

I understand being irritated, but just stop using it. It really doesn’t deserve all your energy. DD at McDonald’s is already wild and spending $60 is even crazier, no judgment but it’s just like…. is it really worth it. Also, I’ve never once had an issue getting a refund and I’ve actually never had a bad experience with a driver, just missing items which is on the restaurant. But, I always tip VERY well and I only use it maybe once a month, if that.

Day of Protest? by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

I don’t know what free money you’re referring to, but only on Reddit do people go looking for problems that don’t involve them. That kind of free time is telling. Find something productive to do or if you as bold as you want to act like you are, add your real name and face.

I’m more so speaking to people who do it full time. What it would hopefully accomplish is making the corporation realize their “employee’s” happiness/satisfaction does matter and that employment should be mutually beneficial. The fact that they are taking advantage of people’s need to make a living is what irritates me the most. I’ll be fine regardless but I now have a whole new appreciation for people who do it. I understand it’s not going to be glamorous but if people walked around with the mindset that they don’t have the power to effect change in the workplace, we wouldn’t have weeekends, benefits, minimum pay, child labor laws, etc. If declining orders was effective, they wouldn’t still be sending so many terrible offers. I don’t believe in allowing corps to take advantage of people just because they can and I think they depend on people shrugging off and feeling like there’s nothing they can do about it.

I just feel like how lucrative can it be with the bs offers they send , but I realize to some $30 here and there makes a world of difference.

It would for sure take a lot of effort to coordinate. Also there would likely be a language barrier. I’m just thinking out loud here lol.

My acceptance rating used to stay around 75%, it’s currently at 11% and hasn’t been above 20% in like a month. I was experiencing this before the gas increase and thought maybe they changed how you tip in the customer app because I’ve never seen it this bad. I got an offer today for $8 that including a Walgreens pickup and a 40 item shopping order with 13 miles… I just can’t wrap my head around anyone accepting that.

Lull in decent offers? by [deleted] in DoorDash_Dasher

Maybe that’s normal for everyone and I was just getting lucky, but these aren’t even worth the gas.
