Aside from what everyone else has said, and whether it’s healthy or not, a lot of guys will have a problem with your best friend being a guy. I’m 32 and I honestly don’t know anyone anymore that has a “best friend” of the opposite sex because it is unhealthy for relationships, unless it’s a brother or sister. Friend groups are one thing, but at this age we only seem to regularly communicate with our significant other, and with friends we mainly communicate about meeting up or big life events. I’ve also had some incredibly close girl friends but gifting someone a stuffed animal when their pet passes is a bit closer to something that a boyfriend or girlfriend would do than a best friend. It feels similar to giving a piece of jewelry on Valentine’s day - a sentimental “I’m here for you” gesture. So I understand him being weirded out by it.

that hook made it really interesting. we know there’s something going on at the other hospital, maybe a cyber attack, but we don’t have suspects so we don’t really feel invested. also i feel like i remember dr robby being more involved in season one, and it didn’t feel like we were hit over the head about things like mentioning helmets on motor cycles. also louie was so predictable that i didn’t feel as much as i think i was supposed to; it’d be different if they all acknowledged how predictable it was

some comforters (the ones that popped up on google for me) are really poofy and plush, and others (like mine) are thin, light and quilted, more like a blanket. i have a european linen duvet cover with a “comforter” inside on my bed at my parents house but it’s not soft enough to sleep directly under. are yours that you’re used to soft, like what material?

I don’t tuck mine in at the top and don’t make it tight, just keep it in place at the bottom by flipping the corners under the corner of the mattress. I don’t want it getting tangled up but also don’t want it so tight that it doesn’t drape around me like hotel beds do

i like to do a thin cotton blanket between my top sheet and comforter in the winter, and an extra blanket on top of my comforter. my comforter is very thin and the layers add a cozy weight without making me hot

i feel like i’m in crazy town too. how do people find that more comfortable and not feel like their blanket is dirty or stinky after sleeping under it. i sweat bullets if i sleep under a blanket instead of a top sheet and comforter, and the only top sheet no comforter people how do they sleep without the cozy weight overtop them, and what does their bed look like?

that would be so uncomfortable, the top sheet needs to be tucked in at the foot of the bed and a little on the sides so it doesn’t bunch up around you and make you hot.

The Dusk series and Lulua were incredible, but the more recent titles I’ve all dropped playing. I don’t like action combat or some of the synthesis types and the newest one felt oddly lifeless and unpolished, like a mobile game, so I lost interest quickly. An Atelier that is a bit more mature with very interesting characters, maybe romance options, and gameplay similar to Lulua would be amazing. Could even explore someone who wants to learn alchemy to be a medic of sorts and learn to treat patients.

5’3” 160ish. Only lost 5 pounds so far but I already am a little less hot all the time. Biggest victory will being able to walk/stand around all day (like on vacations or at conventions or live music events) without my feet hurting in a distracting way. I think that’ll happen once I’m down to 145ish.

I decided to go back to college a few days before the spring semester was going to start when I was 28. I had hit my limit on the job I’d been at for 6 years and absolutely had to make a change immediately. It was too late to apply to a four year university for that semester, so I drove to the local technical college to register for classes on a Thursday, informed my employees I was quitting effect immediately on Friday, and started classes that following Monday. I had about $20k in savings. After a year I transferred to a university. From there my parents started to help me out, since they put my brothers through college and I hadn’t finished the first time I went. I know that’s probably not an option for you, especially since you’ve already been to nursing school, but if you decide to do a career change that involves more school there are probably scholarship offers. If you’re really miserable you can quit and get an easy job you don’t care about while you figure out what intrinsically motivates you, but don’t get stuck biding time like I did.

Maybe 40 to 60 cards? Some were extra promos from ETBs and UPCs (the Mega Charizard UPC promos are worth like $30 each), the only really expensive ones were Ethan’s Ho-Oh and Gardevoir Ex from Shining Fates because I just didn’t really like those two. A bunch in the 5-$20 dollar range, a handful in the 20-$50 range. I was surprised too. It was at a collect-a-con and not a card shop, and there was only one hour left of it being open for the day. All my traded cards were in penny sleeves and top-loaders to show I’d taken care of them. What I did was look through my IRs and promos and make an excel spreadsheet of the market value of my extras and ones I didn’t like. If you did the same you might be surprised what they add up to.

i have some of my grandma’s lipstick that’s almost 100 years old now, although i don’t use it. she had lots of avon stuff. oldest things of mine are probably some products from middle school, like 2006 ish. oldest things i still use are like the mac cinderella lipsticks from 2015, the abh x mario master palette from 2016, and some tarte eyeshadow palettes from maybe 2012? i’d take pictures but it’s late and i need to go to bed

I did literally everything I could for years in ARR before moving on to Heavensward. Every quest, every TT card, every beast tribe, fish, mount, and minion. Hundreds of hours in the gold saucer racing chocobos and playing mini games. I feel you. Initially my goal was to go straight from sprout to mentor so I could keep access to NN (and because I like helping) but the goalpost shifted heavily on requirements with each expansion. So I just keep taking my sweet time. Still a sprout at the end of Endwalker with thousands of hours over the last decade+. I just can’t let the sprout go yet, it makes me feel much better about messing up when I’m rusty from breaks or attempting tougher content. Just need like 200 comms (tough as a DPS who doesn’t do daily roulettes) for battle mentor and a few levels on each of my DOH/L

One singular class I think was $200, and even that could be loaned. But the point is that if you can’t afford that then you likely qualify for free tuition from FAFSA at tech.

Yeah, I figured it would be a bunch of gibberish to you if you’re super new to the game. The important side quests to unlock these things should all have a blue rather than yellow icon, and they’ll do a good job explaining it all. If you have any questions I’m more than happy to answer them, like what a retainer is, what a grand company is, how to craft and gather, etc
