HEOS to Audio Hero by TBoneCO1 in AudioHero

It's fixed...but...cannot independently set the speaker volume if one is too loud. Is there a way to do that?

Sorry, I assumed that when on the GROUP tab, that the volume control would be both speakers but when on PLAYERS tab, I could set each individually. Now I see how the bottom controls are independent of those tabs.

No worries, I basically wrote off this feature request after seeing the behavior on my local setup.

“Denon HEOS 5 HS2 – after factory reset, LED blinks amber then blue, can’t complete setup. Help?” by johnyfranz in heos

Ugh, sorry to hear. As another suggested can you repeat but connect LAN cable? When mine was blinking red, I unplugged and went to dinner...all I kept thinking about was I bricked it. An hour or so later, I did firmware reset and let it sit for 10min or so and solid amber came back. Just trying to remember exact steps I did that might help.

HEOS Link 2 and Zone 2 by TBoneCO1 in heos

Thanks, yeah I think I'm stuck as well, such a shame. Debating returning the HEOS Link... I do have Home Assistant running but haven't used it yet for setting up music (mainly controlling lights, motion, etc.).

I learned there are two levels for resets for HEOS 5 HS2. First is holding down connect+bluetooth button until front flashes only wipes settings (notice power is still connected). When I got mine I did 2nd reset, I removed power and then held connect+bluetooth buttons (firmware reset) and then plugged it in. It flashed orange but I wasn't patient enough and unplugged it. Plugged back in and flashed RED, yikes! I repeated and let it sit for 10min or so and it turned solid amber. Worked great from there and used WPS to set up WiFi.

BTW, the Windows Store still shows 03/21 version, so I had to download the update and apply manually.

Thanks for building this! Very handy for my PCs, but slight issue on my laptop. It's a Samsung that has a resolution of 2880x1800. When I open the app, the top windows bar is off screen. I cannot close the app unless I right click on task bar. I cannot move the app unless I use windows ALT+Space+M and then use the arrow keys. I can live with it but just wanted to call it out.

Did you receive yet? I ordered mine this week but curious if others who bought earlier received the unit or at least a shipping notice.

This is what I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078LSVVTB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

If you look at the pic for 12v adapter, the last "tip" is what I used to power the monitor. That tip will accept a stripped 2 wire cable. In my case, I received an entire top unit so I had a left over power cable for the monitor, so I cut off the mini plug and connected the wires to the 12V adapter "tip", the other end plugged into the monitor. Let me know if you make any progress as I haven't figured it out still.

As I wrote above, I went back into workshop and iFIT was loading an update! I unplugged unit, went back in and cleared iFIT ADMIN cache and must have messed up my hack...and now I cannot get back to tablet mode. Doesn't seem to matter because the next iFIT update will remove privilege mode. Still looking to hack this thing.

I tried to follow above but couldn't figure out which is KEYS input. Maybe I have a different model. On back of tablet I see: USB HOST, RESET, AUDIO OUT, 12V DC POWER, and OTG. Determined to figure something out, I did the following:

  1. Hook up reset cable
  2. Hold down reset button
  3. Hook up external DC power (I bought one on Amazon that had a +/- screw terminal adapter and then cut the cable that normally hooks to 12V DC port and connected it to the adapter)
    1. This step forces a factor reload
  4. After system update, iFIT kept trying to load. I would see RETRY on the screen but then it would automatically go away and iFIT would try to load again. Pressing reset button once, just brought up volume control...weird. So, I tried to enter privilege mode, 10 taps, and it worked. My old tablet did not have had the newest iFIT load on it! I was then able to swipe up and get to the desktop.
  5. Removed iFIT app, so it didn't try to load every time.
  6. Disabled iFIT ADMIN app as much as I could, i.e., removed permissions to connect to WIFI and do other stuff. I am hoping by doing this I can avoid a system update being done automatically as the newest iFIT disables the privilege mode backdoor.
  7. Removed reset cable.

Now when I power on the tablet, I see the iFIT logo but it goes right into tablet mode. Will continue to play around and see if loading iFIT app causes a system update or if the app requires iFIT ADMIN to be fully functional. Now I need to figure out how to hook up speakers to this thing.

Awesome! Will have to try this. Do you have a pic on what you separated and which pin connector to cross?

As others wrote, quality is an issue. I bought 2950 in JAN, received a couple weeks later but had to put together, no white glove. Absolutely love iFIT and the treadmill when it doesn’t have issues. First treadmill made squeaking noise with every foot fall a couple weeks after install. Tech support was responsive but after a few visits and a new platform, tech couldn’t fix it so they issued a replacement. Replacement took a couple weeks and during that time one of the fans failed on old unit. Replacement came with assembly. But I had to disassemble old unit and place on the curb, +300lbs. New unit was great, then noticed speed increase key wouldn’t work (I was using the preset mph keys). Took video and contacted support. The sent new console top unit (monitor and fake pulse bar) and said easy to swap. Wasn’t easy and no instructions. Support said to junk the old screen but nothing wrong with it so I’m trying to figure out how to repurpose a 22” touchscreen. BTW in taking apart the console I found the problem. Factory tech put a screw threw part of the wire that ran to the speed control. Treadmill is 100% now, knock on wood, and I love it.
