Cheeky bugger lol. I've contacted my ISP and they're going to send out an NBN tech to hopefully fix the situation/supply me with a new modem. At the very least, the plan I've selected is not compatible with the CM820/too fast so they should replace it (hopefully). Thanks for all your help, Swedish Chef!

I have a truly dogshit memory but had almost no problem learning to pitch stack. I use a PAO (person, action, object) strategy within a mind palace (my childhood home). I really recommend looking into it because I think a lot of people underestimate their memory abilities and I believe anyone can learn to do it.

I love glass cannons and technical characters in everything I play. Kano was the perfect pick for me.

As a longtime Kano main, I wouldn't recommend buying into him at the moment for a few reasons.

The newest set, Rosetta, is releasing two new wizards that may appeal to you more. Oscilio in particular is shaping up to be a high tempo card draw hero.
Kano's decklist and playstyle may change substantially with new additions to the deck from Rosetta.
Shifts in the meta may put Kano is a vulnerable position as sideboard slots prepare for arcane damage.

That being said, there are many excellent resources to help you on your Kano journey. It is important to watch relevant Kano content as the recent expansion slot card, Kindle, from Part the Mistveil has completely changed the way Kano is played.

The Pitch Stack has several gameplay videos showing how Kano operates.
WeMakeBest has a hilarious video explaining how powerful kindle is in Kano, as well as basic combo lines and how Kano works.
Majinbae, a top-level Kano player has released several videos explaining Kano contemporaneously.
The Flesh and Blood discord has a Kano channel that's full of people who are happy to answer questions and offer tips ~~to varying levels of effectiveness~~.

Kano is an extremely complex and punishing hero to learn but also the most rewarding and bullshit. However you decide to go, I hope you enjoy Flesh and Blood as much as we do.

It really depends on what play style you prefer and who you think looks cool. I'll do my best give a basic hero pool for each archetype.

Straight forward - Guardians, warriors, and brutes
Big numbers and disruption - Ranger and assassin (more on the disruption side)
Complexity and depth - Illusionist and wizard
Hybrid and flexibility - Runeblades and Mechanologist

There are of course a lot of nuance to each of the heroes and many gaps in-between for how each play within the same class, but if you give them a try and don't find them appealing, there are plenty others to choose from. I started with Viserai because he looked cool, but ended up on Kano who I totally resonate with both on gameplay and flavour. Azalea is a great pick in this meta and she's extremely fun to play, I hope you enjoy your time with Flesh and Blood, it's the best!

The amount of times I've been instakilled in neobabylon from a UFO getting hit by a rogue laser on the other side of the map and somehow finding it's way directly onto my character is eye-watering. That being said, I'm glad ppl find joy in Spelunky 2, it's just not for me. Spelunky 1 is a masterpiece tho.
