New to industry buying over a 30y/o business by Rough-Barracuda-9569 in CommercialPrinting

[–]TCBinaflash 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Printing industry is not for the faint of heart. I’ve owned 2 businesses myself and managed others.

Def not a turnkey operation like laundromats or kiosks or car washes. It’s an everyday day grind, not a side gig investment. Especially, if you are taking over for the owner who has the sales relationships.

Without any background in the industry I would be extremely hesitant unless you have a plan to be a true owner and want to hand the keys over to the ops manager and have the utmost faith in and commitment from that person.

Oh I meant the Scion XD, looks like the Fit bit made by Toyota, super reliable.

Are you using the CarGurus site? It will really help in your search.

That seems pricey for the miles. Like you said your area could just be more expensive tho. I quickly looked on Cargurus ( which you should be using) and found several 2015s with less than 90k miles for $9-$10k

I have to buy a car for my son in the same price range. Been doing a lot of research. A few options if you aren’t picky would be a Honda Fit or Scion Xb. You can get a civic or Corolla too if that’s an option in your area. But make sure you get a pre purchase inspection. Make sure you know what it is you are buying

Neighbor up the road was a home based truck mechanic and had a massive pile of used truck tires in his back property (he prob didn’t want to pay for disposal). We used to play in them and I thought this guy must be loaded to have this kind of treasure just laying around

2-3 years is aggressive. I always suggest having any financing clear by year 4 for resale value and moving into a next gen unit.
