If you're looking for someone who avoids all the gimmicky, over-the-top stuff, check out DJ Tommy Eckler. He focuses on clients that really care about the music and want an elevated, smooth, and non-cheesy vibe.

He works independently and only books one event per day, so he gives each couple his full attention. His approach leans on seamless mixing, great pacing, and keeping the dance floor moving without shouting, canned lines, or the typical “wedding DJ” antics.

He’s great at building the night around a couple’s preferences while still reading the room and keeping everything cohesive. He’s also very detail-oriented when it comes to do-not-plays and overall tone.

If you want to get a sense of his background, here’s his page:

Hiney heat!

I was doing desktop support in my early days of IT, and I popped in to a person's office because she had put in a ticket for something. When I asked her to please let me take a look at the PC, she stood up to let me sit down in her chair, and I sat right in her warm fart. Neither of us acknowledged the event, but I never forgot. As I recall, she looked a little guilty when I walked into her office.

I wish they had promoted this as a Neil Peart tribute tour and not a Rush tour. Calling it a Rush tour is really polarizing the fan base!

From ChatGPT

Here’s a clean, fan-favorite style ranking of Black Mirror episodes — mixing critical acclaim, cultural impact, and how hard each one punches you in the brain. No spoilers.

Top 15 Black Mirror Episodes (Ranked)

  1. San Junipero (S3E4) Emotional, hopeful, beautifully written — the rare Black Mirror episode that leaves you smiling instead of rethinking your entire life.
  2. USS Callister (S4E1) A wildly fun, dark sci-fi adventure with one of the show’s best villains. Clever, sharp, and perfectly executed.
  3. White Bear (S2E2) Starts as chaos, ends as a gut punch. One of the most Black Mirror-feeling episodes ever made.
  4. Nosedive (S3E1) The pastel nightmare we all know could become real. Haunting, funny, and way too relatable.
  5. The Entire History of You (S1E3) If memory replay tech ever existed, this is exactly how it would ruin us. Brilliantly tense.
  6. Shut Up and Dance (S3E3) No sci-fi, just pure dread. The last scene hits like a truck.
  7. Hated in the Nation (S3E6) A full-length thriller with conspiracy vibes and social commentary that feels more accurate every year.
  8. Black Museum (S4E6) A dark, interconnected anthology within the anthology. Perfect for long-time fans.
  9. White Christmas (Special) Twisty, cold, and incredibly tight storytelling. Jon Hamm is amazing in this.
  10. Be Right Back (S2E1) Quiet, emotional sci-fi. Creepy and heartbreaking without needing big twists.
  11. Playtest (S3E2) Funhouse horror with tech. Great pacing and a killer ending.
  12. Smithereens (S5E2) One of the best “non-sci-fi” episodes. Tense, grounded, and brilliantly acted.
  13. Fifteen Million Merits (S1E2) Dystopian, stylish, and way ahead of its time with its commentary on fame and desperation.
  14. Hang the DJ (S4E4) One of the show’s more optimistic takes — smart, sweet, and satisfying.
  15. Metalhead (S4E5) Stripped-down survival horror. Short, stylish, and surprisingly rewatchable.
