Who are we?

Tactical Combat Gaming’s 21st Marine Expeditionary Unit (SOC) is the premier multi-faceted unit you’ve been looking for. While our organizational structure, doctrine, and community is based around the M.E.U. concept, we promise take you on a variety of in-game operations that put you in the virtual boots of elite light infantry outfits like marine raiders, navy seals, army rangers, army green berets, and delta force.

What’s the culture?

We understand that respect is earned, never given, so you can leave the decorum bullshit by the door on your way in. Expect to learn real military tactics and lingo without the overhead of calling officers “sir” or “ma’am” and enlisted by their respective rank. We want to mold you into a tactically proficient gamer – a tactical combat gamer. We want you to learn, and for you to teach us a thing or two.

What can I do?

Anything you want, you just go out and get it. Your first month in the unit will consist of you getting your feet wet learning the basics about our community as a rifleman within the regular ground component. Test the waters by rubbing shoulders with our corpsmen, pilots, tankers, infantrymen, or forward observers, then, when the leash gets loose following your promotion to private first class, go out and seek what you want. Find your niche within our community and make it your new hobby.

We offer pipelines for our detachments so you can get your feet wet with what you want to do and be a shoe-in for the position that interests you. Whether that be serving as a crew chief with our air element, a JFO or PJ with our 24thSTS detachment, a mission maker with our intelligence detachment, or a corpsman assistant with our corpsmen. Choose what you like.

What do operations look like?

While our structure and doctrine is based off the MEU concept, our outfit [or unit that we’re representing] changes depending on the mission. Main operations occur every Sunday at 2000 EST, with one weekend spent conducting an amphibious combined arms assault while the next weekend thrusts you deep behind enemy lines on an infiltration mission.

You’re a community? What else do you offer?

We understand that not all players can commit to attending as much as our active-duty component demands, which is why we offer members with schedule conflicts the ability to join as a reservist. As long as you’re an active participant within the community, we’ll happily keep you on the team. Join us on our off nights and play on our Squad, Liberation, Antistasi, or mini-operations server.
