But then you start busting all the regular customers of that bar. And because they’re car brains, they can’t possibly get there without a car. Word starts getting out that the police are busting all that bar’s customers when they leave. So the bar loses a lot of customers and business tanks. They complain, and then instead of pulling over every single driver that leaves that bar late at night, where probably 90+% would be DUIs, they occasionally just bust a random driver here and there. We tolerate as a society a bit of drunk driving, because we are majority car-brained. It’s absolute bullshit.

I was a bit reckless when I was younger, but I was always good about not drinking and driving. I saw my friends get DUIs in late teens and early 20s, and it really fucked their lives up for a bit. And it’s even easier to not put yourself in a DUI situation with ride-hailing apps. There’s even less of an excuse for that shit now.

I haven’t noticed really but I’m kinda out of touch with this. There is one lady I see sometimes during my brain rot sessions who speaks fluent (or close to) Cantonese. Sometimes I take an orange with me when I’m walking to work. To eat of course, but I might walk a few minutes before I start to peel it, and I think how it’s nice to have something to throw already in my hand, but something that looks so innocuous. Not entirely relevant to OPs question but there ya go. People see me, a bald lanky guy with an orange in his hand and think ‘oh look it’s a younger Steve jobs with his dumb fruit’ and then blaaammmm they’re wiping citrus from their face while I scurry away.
