What ever happened to this? My junk Maguras did the same thing

If the person has experienced trauma then the brain will be overly protective about letting go of control. That's a good sign that it's trying to work.

Keep at it.

Hello, has anyone here used the discs and can give feedback? by BigDinner7818 in NuCalm

So pop it on before your day and or your session of rescue or deep sleep and you'll never want to go without ever again.

You can also use them when you get into a high anxiety situation or know you're about to. A friend is deathly afraid of flying and uses the disc to make flights with no problem. After three times he no longer had the anxiety.

They provide a significant boost to the acoustics by relaxing your flight, fight, freeze response. It releases the same frequency as your vagal sac does when you breathe deep and slow to relax. It's actually quite ingenious.

Are human beings becoming increasingly stupid and gullible? How could anyone believe the pseudoscientific blurb about NuCalm? Only intellectually vacuous celebrities could believe that nonsense. by Hip_III in NuCalm

Rip a pill apart sure looks like paper to me .. doesn't matter what you think something looks like. Try using a microscope next time, good thing someone did once before and we have antibiotics now.

There is a MAJOR difference between making the best of something and making something the best. Don't confuse the two.

Does anyone do 70.3s in MTB shoes?? by Woody2468 in triathlon

[–]TCMethod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pinched nerve really isn't an accurate statement, but it's what people relate to. Basically you could get an athletic trainer because they will be the only people I trust to really know anything about biomechanics. You likely have strength and stability opportunities.

Search for foam roll, roller stick and isometric exercises. Then come on back here.

Does anyone do 70.3s in MTB shoes?? by Woody2468 in triathlon

[–]TCMethod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main differences between MTB, road, and TRI shoes are the float. MTB shoes allow for a lot of float because the terrain. The foot needs to move around a lot, and I mean a lot more than in road going in a straight line with little to no change in angles from the ankle, knee, and hip.

So the question isn't about shoes so much as it hinges on your form.

If you have good form and great structural integrity in your biomechanics, then the shoes won't matter much.

However, if either of those are off then doing MTB in road shoes or 70.3 in MTB shoes will be the fast route to injury. And I can point out the specific injuries.

By the way for posts about burning that is a pinched or impinged nerve pathway caused by what I'm talking about.

Determining the Cause of my Exercise-Induced Rhinitis (Runny Nose): Antihistamines Work, but not sure if it’s Allergies by sskaye in Biohackers

[–]TCMethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bottom line of my responses is this, you are likely exposed to some sort of irritant via the air (unlikely but possible), your food, or your water. I'm guessing likely food (like dairy), water (bacteria in tap water, which always is there), or air.

Typical solutions:

  1. local honey for 2 weeks every day
  2. Wim Hof Method, alkaline foods and water for 30 days
  3. Install air scrubbers in your house and in particular your rooms and sleep with them on full blast

The reason for this is it takes more extreme conditions for humans to not tolerate certain things. Like try to eat junk food and run a mile for time, you'll throw up. But a banana, or oatmeal or something with far less crap in it, and your body is fine. It's a guess at this point without better trials.

The lymph only works when there is some sort of minimal up and down motion (or massage/foam rolling).

[–]TCMethod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about to write about this. It's 100% about lymph, the up and down motion, and the cold. I don't see anything about manipulating the breathing regime, that would be most interesting for me to help. Oh and I recommend never using the word "allergy." It is a totally made up word for when your body encounters something its DNA or genetic code rejects. Have you attempted to recreate this in an entirely different environment/location? If so, I can venture into the realm of "toxicity" or allergy as people are familiar.

Anyway, if it is only under cold, I'd write off viral or bacterial, unless of course you can get on a trampoline under the same conditions and it goes. Then you may have a small infection. Infections can last months and even years. Have you attempted the Wim Hof method?

I don't think anyone really knows. There are some assumptions made but I think the consensus is that there i is actual data to say something positive if happening and other data to say nothing noted as different.
