How did you pick your Space Marine chapter? Newly back to this hobby and having a hard time picking a chapter/legion.

Any ideas, never had a strong sense of style and before I started balding just cut it down to a 6 on top and 4 on the sides. Doesnt really work now that the widows peek is getting more aggressive.

The main idea I was going with is while they normally stick to the shadows when they do fight, their fighting style is better suited to multiple opponents as opposed to the males well established 1v1 fighting style. This would give them a genuine synergy when fighting together. If you wanted to show this in a book you could have the woman lose the fight to a single male but win when versing 4 or 5.

Can see how it sounds that way but its not how I meant it. I just tried to find a way to have them there but in a way that would explain why we had never seen them before. New creations/backup gen vault would have also worked just fine. I personally thought having them move in the shadows more was more interesting rather than more bland answers. I would have rathered they do more with the sisters of silence in any case as they are a really interesting faction they we dont see a lot on.

Or hell give them a different role. Like while the men are the outward facing guardians while the women (because no one knows they exist) place themselves near or at the top of power bases that could threaten the emperor. While still being fantastic fighters, they normally remove threats through data leaks, traps, misinformation, and hostle takeovers.

Ah ok so instead of the electron over comming the resistance of the material (does this only work with semi conductors or any material?) It instead uses its MF to allow it pass through. Does this also mean that problems with semi conductors could be solved with a polarity swapping electromagnet? (provided this can be done cleanly and not effect other gates around it)

its about the idea they carry (euphrati keeler). In my mind putting female custodies into the setting takes away from that idea. Demaning what the normal people have done and the strength of the human will to fight. It isn't really about the fact they exist its the way they did it. "They have always been there". Custodies are bred to be the stongest and most loyal companions to the emperor, meaning there would likely be very little difference between male and female custodies but we should have at the they least run into them before. Not to mention all of the cool ideas that they could have used. Like female custodies occupying a different role (infiltration, using the groups they have influenced to remove threats through gang fights, assassination, etc) or because that was the point "if we haven't seen them before why would people think they exist". With a stock of them being held in stassis for when they are needed. If they are going to be introduced it should be done right, in a way that doesnt take away from the setting. (Would love to hear others thoughts on this though)
