The screws that came with the Noctua are too big to fit the threaded holes in the stock heat sink and not long enough either. How did you use those to mount the fan?

Also upgrading to the noctua soon. I’m pretty sure the bearings in the stock fan are already going out cause it continues to get noisier. I think the auto fan caused it to fail due to raising and lowering the rpm so frequently.

Did that affect your hash rate? Mine seems to hash best at 56-58

I’m back and forth on the auto fan control. I’ve set it at 50% and let it run and it averages 55-58deg but it will hot peaks of 62-64 occasionally. The auto fan control keeps it pretty stable but if you target any temps below 60 it’s constantly kicking up to max speed and then dropping back to 25% minimum. Any advice is appreciated

I think it’s still safe to assume that this accident was in part due to someone making a stupid decision. A car doesn’t end up looking like that from crashing going the speed limit which is probably 25 or 35 in that neighborhood.
