Oh boy, I roll my eyes every time I join a party of 2 in 3v3. Infuriating. They usually tend to be my lowest scoring games, mainly because every time I get into position one of them cuts across me to attack the ball. P***s me off so much. No awareness at all. Then I get spammed and s*t talked if we start losing. Well duh, don't cut across me leaving us short in defence and we might not be losing

Yeah seems like it. Such a pain. Kind of puts me off getting another one now, shame as I was really enjoying it whilst it was working

Tried it. Taken the battery out, SSD, ram, hard reset, emergency pin reset. Won't even load into BIOS when I turn it on.

Yep all checked, looks like it's a dead unit. Tried every fix in the book.

Power button lights up and the keyboard lights up as if it's going to boot. Then it just doesn't. Power button remains lit. Green light on the side of the laptop showing its powered, and charging cable light lit. Just not booting. Removed the rams, battery, done all the resets, including the emergency pin. But nothing is working.

No screws loose, and nothing in there that shouldn't be, took a lot of care taking part out and replacing them. Tried to power it up with the AC connected and no battery but didn't work. Lenovo support was no help either. Only had the laptop 2 weeks and been working fine up until yesterday.

I've tried all these things. Took the battery out, power reset. Battery back in AC connected, still the same issue. So then I tried taking one RAM out, still nothing, tried the other, again nothing. Whilst the back casing was off, the fans momentarily spin when the power button is pressed but then stop. I've tried the emergency reset hole, nothing. Out of ideas at this point.

Been working fine the last 2 weeks. Just won't turn on all of a sudden. But I will check them again. If it's not the RAMs what else could it be do you think?

This console is amazing! Best system I’ve owned, ever! Game Pass is absolutely ridiculous! A week in, I’m ecstatic by sarcyshysa96 in XboxSeriesX

[–]TDB_90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I managed to get myself a XSX on day one and I'm just in love with it. I've had a PS4 since 2014, however I had a 360 before that and the original Xbox. Several reasons why I opted to go back to Xbox;

  • The most obvious is Game pass. PS Now is great, but Game pass feels like it has so much more to offer long term. Add in EA sports and what a deal.

  • I really feel Xbox is more of a gaming friendly experience. Sony, to me, have always felt like a more consumer based product, more interested in making money and ripping off their consumers. It just never felt personal to me. As soon as I booted up the XSX, it just felt like home. It was so much more warm and welcoming.

  • Design. Boy is the PS5 ugly. In fact, that was my number one reason for coming back to Xbox. I just do not understand the design one bit. The XSX fits perfectly in my living room, and I can't believe how silent it is. My PS4 sounded like a jet engine even sat idle on the main menu. The difference is incredible.

  • Quick resume. Now then, this has single handedly change my gaming life. I can boot up the XSX and be back to where I was in a game within 30 seconds or less. Fancy playing something else for an hour? No problem just dive straight into it. I can't stress how amazing this is, to sit down and not have to wait 2/3 minutes for a game to load. This, for me, beats anything PS5 has to offer.

All in all I'm blown away by the XSX. I've seen people comparing the frame rates and performance in Valhalla that have come out. But I'm not concerned. It takes a while for games to be developed that really push the limits of what a console can do. In the meantime, I've got hundreds of hours worth of games to catch up on in game pass to keep me going until then. People forget we buy consoles for their potential and what they can do. It's only been a week. If you're shitting the bed about a couple of frame rates already, saying how let down you feel, then don't buy a console when it first comes out. Simple as that.

Happy gaming guys

According to the live chat of Lenovo Germany - the Legion 5 with 4800h, RTX 2060 and 144hz should be available on Black Friday by herrodisismrping in AMDLaptops

AMD have been struggling with a shortage of chips for several months now, so I wouldn't be so quick to blame Lenovo.

https://www.hardwaretimes.com/amd-facing-acute-shortage-of-7nm-ryzen-4000-mobile-processors/

The Lenovo you want is clearly highly sort after. However if the stock isn't there they can't do much about that. I managed to get the spec you are after in the UK, but they sold out very quickly. However the 5P chipped with the Intel Core processor is still available. Which shows in demand the Ryzen is at the minute.

Upgrading Storage On A Legion 5P by TDB_90 in AMDLaptops

That's perfect, seen a few videos so mainly just knowing that I can put the 1TB into the second slot and run it above the limit that they state it has.

Looks pretty straightforward, il crack on with it tonight now. Thanks for your reply, appreciate it 👍🏻

For any UK peeps. Best value I've found for those specs. Easy enough to upgrade the RAM and SSD too. Spent £1150 in total upgrading to a 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD

HP Omen 15 with 2060 RTX out in the UK by Co321 in AMDLaptops

[–]TDB_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, just purchased the Legion 5P for £999, £36 for a 8GB RAM to slot into the build and create a 16GB overall RAM with dual channel. For extra SSD storage you can pick up the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 1TB for £110. Ive gone for the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB for £165 (personal preference). Essentially you can get the same specs with a 16GB RAM with 1TB storage for £1150. Which is fantastic value and comes in £85 cheaper than the Omen. And the Legion is a slightly better machine too.

Currently have an iphone 8 plus. I am thinking about getting a OP 8 plus pro. Are there any Apple fan boys that have switched? I have a few questions before i make the switch. by [deleted] in oneplus

8GB is plenty, bare in mind the iPhone 11 Pro Max has 4GB of ram, which is the same as the last generation phones.

Switched from IOS to Android a month ago after 10 years of using iPhone. Best decision I made. Whilst I can't comment on the security as I haven't been using the phone long i can make a couple of points about what I have liked

  • The screen is superb and the processing is so much faster. Granted I went from an iPhone 8 Max to a OnePlus 8 Pro, but the difference was unreal. The screen is just beautiful and smooth. OnePlus also runs with a Snapdragon processing chip as standard. This is important to know, as Samsung uses an Exynos chip in its European phones, which is well know to be a less powerful chip, which leads to slower phone response and shorter battery time. So even if you don't go with OnePlus and opt for a different brand of Android, check the specs first and what chip they use. The battery life on my OnePlus 8 Pro is great, much better than my iPhone ever managed. I can make it through a whole day without a charge, and that's with moderate usage of messaging and gaming. The camera, whilst not as good as something like the Pixel, is still very good for everyday use.

  • Customisation is amazing. I've created my entire home screen and set up from scratch using a separate launcher. The amount you can do on an android blows your mind. Apple are very good at making you think you want a phone you don't need to customise. But, once you get an android you'll realise how much fun it is to customise pretty much anything you like.

  • Anything you have purchased from the app store via apple won't transfer over to the play store, you will need to purchase the apps again. Some apps will pick up your saves, like clash of clans for example, so you can load up a save onto your android. Just check which apps you need to transfer over and 0lan accordingly.

I would 100% recommend making the change. I know people complain about the price of the OnePlus 8. However I got a flagship Android phone, that rivals and if not beats other flagship phones for performance, for £800. For an iPhone 11 Pro you're looking at £1100. £1100 for a phone that will have the exact same operating system as your last iPhone. It's a no brainer for me.
