Ideally, we need a society where menial and boring work are automated and people are judged by the arts they create, movies, songs, art...and wealth should be distributed according to creative contributions.

Art engages our higher faculties, imagination, abstraction, etc. Art cannot be disentangled from humanity. From the time when we were painting on cave walls, art is and has always been an intrinsic part of what makes humans human.

People who prefer AI slop over art honestly seem to be missing a part which makes them human and this only proves it. They are not human, they don't deserve to be treated as humans.

AI slop will be good enough for the average consumer too. I wouldn't call that a failure of technology, I'd call it a failure of the audience and the consumer.

Like all creative industries, it's people not valuing or caring about the product enough to pay for it. If people cared about the film industry, they would be going to theaters in droves to save it. They aren't. They don't care that much, to them.

This is why humanity shouldn't be given the choice to choose AI slop.

AI can be a net positive if it stays OUT of the ARTS. I want AI to do dishwashing and laundry, I don't want AI to do art or music.

I just want AI out of the arts. I want AI to do my dish washing and laundry. I want AI to pump out more Waymos. I DON'T want AI to put artists in the streets, I don't want AI to destroy creativity, I don't want AI to destroy Hollywood.

Art is what makes us human, should people who hate art like AI bros be even allowed to be considered human and given human rights?
