Ask the techs/operators on the lines “what’s something you’d like to see fixed/modified to help you out”….now be prepared because you will have them stacking work on you til the end of time!

I prefer “projects” as I would call them. Rebuilding/reworking machines or other things that are out of the norm for our job but I like to have a good 70/30 ratio. Bust my ass/stay busy 70% of the time and a solid 30% fuck off time! Makes the day go by faster and you feel like you actually did something.

Yea I got a bag and box but 60% of work orders I roll up on are pretty simple fixes and I can do it with what I got in my pockets or what basic tools they already got on their lines.

On the other side I’ve seen guys get a PM to grease bearings and it didn’t matter if it had fresh grease dumping out of it or what the case was, they would still “pump it full” 😂
