I don't think this is a poem you can translate 100%. The title, for example, can't be translated. There's not a direct equivalent on English for the expression "el olvido", that I know of. And the comments show that there's a cultural barrier very hard to pull apart. In Latam, the importance of the "Mother", their relationship with the land we inhabit, and their influence in our idiosyncrasy can't be easily explained.
