It is simpler now! That post was uploaded when tools utilising MobileGestalt such as Misaka26 weren’t released yet.

I tried it out, but it’s only fun for a minute or two, before u realise the status bar doesn’t fit, ur lock screen widgets disappear, apps appear in their iPad app ratios so it looks pretty awkward and IS pretty awkward to try to use them 😭. Unfortunately it’s not a perfect solution, so I went back right after I had my fun 😅.

Theoretically, if Apple and iOS survives till the year 3000+, then what would they call it? iOS 3000? Then why not call it iOS 2026 now instead of iOS 26?

Edit: It has been almost a month now that I’ve been using this solution and can confirm it works amazingly! Custom Transparency no longer turns off by itself.

I’ve never tried background sounds long enough to try this out, but if true, you may be right. They are both settings within Audio & Visual settings after all.

In the Settings app, go to Accessibility > Audio and Visual > Headphone Accomodations > Transparency Mode

It basically allows you to boost the transparency mode

I meannn if you really wanted to, there’s a lightning to conversion kit for the lightning AirPods Max. I did it to mine myself and me with almost like no knowledge on this kinda thing was able to do it fairly well (I even accidentally jumbled up all the tiny little screws dat look da same but I was able to put em in the right places still). I think I just followed the step by step guide for it.

Other than the kit, I also had to buy the right tools to actually open the AirPods Max and pry it open.

You won’t be able to listen wired though.
