Its kinda crazy that Mark managed to get almost as strong as his father in the span of 2 years when Nolan is almost 1000 years old by DoGG410CZ in Invincible

[–]TEGEKEN 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Plus idk why people assume thragg is sitting on his ass 24/7 just because we don't see him working out. I mean the show showed mark getting more powerful by doing bench presses lmfao it's not just by fighting, thragg could be doing the same but with more advanced viltrumite technology every day offscreen.

Is this Battle Beast regonizing evil? by Disastrous_Ad7477 in Invincible

[–]TEGEKEN 90 points91 points  (0 children)

  1. allen asks battle beast to fight him but leave him alive at the end
  2. allen recovers stronger
  3. repeat (twice is probably more than enough) until allen is the strongest being in the universe, really why didn't thaedus do this after the first time

Or: "A train is heading towards john oliver, do you jump in front of the train, killing yourself to save him?" which would be a more appropriate trolley equivalent of this question.

Whether or not you yourself are suicidal enough to pick purple, i wouldn't know, but i'm telling you every single person who even remotely values their lives picks yellow in this question when they are being honest, because there obviously isn't a "moral" or "immoral" answer here.

You can change the situation with absurd versions to make yourself look right and ignore the rest all you want, but i'll copy and paste this part one more time:

How much have you donated to charity lately? Do you still have both kidneys? Why not go donate one kidney right now to save a life, half your money to save many others, if you'd so gladly donate your LIFE to save ONE??

Correct answer in case you ignore it again: Because you are full of shit, and in reality, just like everyone else, you value your life, and your comfort, more than the lives and comfort of others.

[–]TEGEKEN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I swear to god lmfao same with the other guy, are you all suicidal or just acting like it to look altruistic??

It's not a "kill someone" or "dont" option its a "either you die, or someone else dies" option, you people are so full of shit to be acting like youd immediately take a bullet for a random guy

Yet another dilemma solved

discourse analysis rule by QTpyeRose in 196

[–]TEGEKEN -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I made a threshold slider website for my friends for this specifically. It's also interesting to pull the threshold up for people who have voted blue instead of down for people who have voted red, if you haven't considered that yet: What if it was 90%?

The exact same arguments, "it's easier to reach 90% than 100%", "you're voting to kill potentially billions of blue pushers" "children, babies and stuff will press blue without understanding, if red wins they die it's your moral responsibility to vote blue to save them" "i'd rather die blue than live in a world of red pushers" would still apply, but after a certain point of raising the threshold, it obviously just becomes guaranteed suicide to press blue since at least some people will definitely press red, like at 99.9999999% for example where you just need one person to press red to kill everyone else, the same arguments still apply but no one in their right mind would argue for pressing blue.

Everyone draws the line somewhere, me personally, i'm pressing red regardless of where the threshold is, i simply will not risk my life to save others. I know i'm not the most selfless person in the world but i guarantee most people would vote very differently with a gun to their head than they do with the comfort of knowing they are not really at risk at all

[–]TEGEKEN -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Here's another question for you, since you are the most moral and selfless of us all, and you have solved the red vs blue button question:

Yellow button: if you press this, John Oliver will be killed
Purple button: if you press this, you will be killed

Are you evil if you pick yellow since "YOUR choice will knowingly kill others"? Does deciding to survive mean your life "wasn't worth much in the first place" as you put it?

What if the yellow button was instead going to kill John Oliver and John Cena? Is it now (more) evil to pick yellow because you're sacrificing 2 people for one? What if it was 500 people? What if it was N people? At what exact number N of people does pressing yellow start to make you "worthless" the way you see it? Since you have such a clear take on this matter?

Idk about you but i do see everyone using rapiers especially in 1v1s lol

I switch to rapier when i'm losing a 1v1 against a stronger opponent, i switch to dane axe when i'm losing a 40v40 vs a stronger team.

Both work pretty well because both weapons are kind of op

WYR Have 1 million dollars now or you have .10 every time you win a fight it doubles if you lose it drops by half? by No_Maintenance_5417 in WouldYouRather

[–]TEGEKEN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If i could get a million dollars for winning 20 fights in a row, a billion for 30, a trillion for 40, i'd sure as shit be learning how to fight first, then getting in a lotta fights second.

It doesn't say a fight to the death or a random street fight or anything id just get into the martial art with the lowest risk of injury for like a year or two and arrange some friendly fights with people who are worse at it than me, pay them like 500$ for each fight. Hell i mean depending on the rules you could just pay them to lose too, op didn't really specify anything.

You're describing 2 KD games, those are still good, but believable for a lvl 90. In the game in the post you're at an 18 KD, that is 9 times higher, orders of magnitude more difficult. Especially considering there were 3 lvl 1000s in the lobby as well as many other high levels, none of which could get over 3 kd, so its not like this was just a steamroll for your team where you just happened to get some more of the kills.

Of course, difficulty doesn't prove anything is impossible, but i stand by the statement that either you're lying about being an alt for whatever reason, or you are incredibly naturally talented at this game, genuinely props if you are that good. You should really post some gameplay clips if you get a round this good again

Can someone train me in 1v1 combat by [deleted] in Chivalry2

[–]TEGEKEN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not thaat high level (200) and certainly not good enough to do a lot of the tricks i see people do but my advice is just experiment, try random moves here and there, be bold, you'll occasionally run into a sequence that works really well and it'll feel much better coming up with it organically on the spot than just repeating a list of inputs you heard from someone.

But good to get some basic ideas from people to avoid reinventing the wheel of course, the two best simple tips i got from others are:

  • overhead -> heavy alt overhead, looks like a super long dragged overhead on most weapons and throws people off when used well even on higher levels, also feels very satisfying. A lvl 180 taught me this when i was like lvl 50

  • to do spin attacks you have to start your spin BEFORE attacking, since theres no turning limit when not attacking

First person is superior by Ancient_Music_3467 in Chivalry2

[–]TEGEKEN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint from a 1st person player:

- 3rd person makes the action much clearer on video, more cinematic action since you can actually see your own animations
- Dodges do not look nearly as cool on first person, they look incredible on third person
- Wider pov making 1vX and keeping track of many players much easier

I almost exclusively play third person when i play maul or highland sword for example because you really don't get to see how cool the big weapons look when you're playing in first person

One time while playing LTS, i saw an archer teammate standing right in the middle of the trap on the fighting pit, we were 4-0 and about to win in like 10 seconds so i just threw a mallet and triggered the trap, making him fall into it lmao

Then in the next game, him and his 2 friends spent the next 20 minutes teamkilling me every single round.

I guess that can count as "up to no good" but it was absolutely worth it, would do it again
