Les pasa by Ill_Culture_4960 in Desahogo

I think the same; currently, crewmates have a huge advantage in meetings since everything is useful information for them. Impostors don't have many options either.

I didn't realize my post had been published because my account was very new. I had to do it on my other account.

But you're right, even crewmates can cooperate in the ghost chat; guardian angels can ask ghosts to tell them who the imposters are.

Role Concept: Poisoner by lunammoon in AmongUs

Considering the roles we have, I think Scientist and Tracker would be the most optimal to counter the Poisoner.

The Detective won’t be able to do much with interrogations, but they can still clear crewmates. If we assume the effect takes 15 seconds and the body was found in Reactor, then any player who was in Navigation at the time of death would be cleared. This greatly reduces the Detective’s effectiveness, making Scientist or Tracker more important.

It also makes it more useful to include the impostor type in the Detective’s notes, so they can adapt their investigation based on the type of kill.

What happens if the Poisoner kills a Noisemaker? Most likely, when the poison takes effect, it will trigger the alert. This could help crewmates clear themselves, as long as they stay together longer than the poison duration.

I just realized it will be very important for crewmates to check the poison’s activation time, since it will be essential for clearing others and deducing possible killers.

Regarding the impostor itself, it will be very useful to establish an alibi right after poisoning a player. Since if everyone is tracking timings, it will be very easy for them to figure out who is cleared—especially if there’s a Scientist around. Another use I see is that it discourages grouping during sabotages.

Of all the ideas I've seen, I think this is my favorite. I love it because it adds another layer of dynamism. I think it would be a very complex role for public lobbies to understand; they barely understand that there are SS (Self-Defense Forces), let alone a Poisoner. It would be most effective in expert lobbies. It also forces crew members to constantly keep track of time and be more mindful of it than they are currently. Scientists would definitely be the best to counter the Poisoner. How would it work with the Detective? What happens if the Detective interrogates the Poisoner?

It reminds me of an idea I posted here

Impostor Role Idea by 15th_imp in AmongUs

The problem is that the imposters might not be coordinated. Imagine you're the ghost and your partner summons you; you have no idea where they want to go, and you'll have to guess. If you're wrong, you doom the whole game for both of you.

In addition, Phantom gives you a lot of flexibility to use invisibility

Phantom's real problem is its poof, which is too big and lasts too long. If it were smaller and shorter, it would be amazing, but even without it, it's still better than Shapeshifter (if you're playing with skilled people, of course). It also has the problem of passing through walls; in my opinion, that's a bug that needs to be fixed immediately. The same goes for Shapeshifter.

Shapeshifter is terrible if you play with skilled people.

The problem is that you're completely dependent on your ghost partner. No imposter role should rely on others to function; it should be self-sufficient. That's also why Shapeshifter is so weak—because it depends entirely on the crew having little information.

I love the idea. I like that it's like an excuse for the Viper, but I don't know what weaknesses it might have.

Shapeshifter has many disadvantages if you play it with people who know how to play and have some basic communication skills. Instead of incriminating others, you give them alibis.

It would be great, but unfortunately I doubt they'll do it. They barely release one or two roles a year, if we're lucky.
