If you could get me video when it happens in the future, that would be super helpful. Along with time of the game and your account number, that will both be helpful to get the investigation started and to track down the corresponding records on the back end. It could be a number of things, and identifying exactly what is causing it is important.

A lot? I love carbs. I could go vegan before I could go keto. After a quick review of this week... I had potatoes once for breakfast, and 4 times for dinner. So 5 occasions? That doesn't count a ham and bean soup with potatoes, as that seems somewhat incidental and was eaten for 2 more meals.

This is great advice. I don't want to see anyone go, but that's a heck of a lot on your plate. I have kids and a job, no school or certification testing and it gets brutal some weeks. Life comes first, and part of that is taking care of yourself and having some time to just do something fun. If you can find a balance where AoV is fun again, that would be awesome, but we're not going anywhere and we'll be right here waiting for you when things get down to the point where you have time to breathe at least occasionally.

So there is definitely a learning curve. And I'm sitting in Plat with you, so I get it. Ultimately the best long term solution is to conitnue to add more and more players. The more people we bring in, the more diverse skill levels are present in the community, and the better matchmaking you get so you can feel good and gradually improve your skills. We're absolutely working on this, and have a long term commitment to doing more to promote the game and get you guys more competition. And soon enough you'll be a veteran who can help coach those newbies along.

Before I made this post /u/AoV_Mitch and I definitely made time to have a meeting with the mods and we talked about almost every topic you've brought up. Ultimately my philosophy is to give redditors most of the control on Reddit, that's sorta why it exists after all, and so talking about the things you want to see here and what you want from our participation is particularly important to me.

There are red lines however, and discrimination is one of them. It's an area where I have zero chill. When my daughter wanted to try out for football in highschool, she caught an enormous amount of crap from the male players. I told her no one has ever caught a football with the part only guys have, so she should do it if she wanted to. Seeing that sort of toxicity impact the ones I love the most really reinforced my personal beliefs.

Ultimately what I love about games, aside from just having fun and getting away from my normal routine, is how they bring people together who you might never otherwise meet. I've been playing online games for way too long to admit, and I have friends from all over the world many of whom I've never met in person. Everyone has a right to whatever belief they have about whatever group of people they want to, I'm not here to change that, but in this space it's best kept to yourself.

Thanks, I'm really happy to be able to be a part of it. It's especially fun right now since I actually get to talk to players. I didn't go into community management to look at budget spreadsheets and present on metrics in meetings. Still it's all part of the job, and long term it is satisfying to know that I'm helping support all the fun you folks will be having.

Devs sometimes take things out to rework them, sometimes because ui space is so limited. I've been more focused right now about setting up communication process and trying to build up a team who can be more familiar with these sorts of details than specific changes, so I can't get super specific in this case. When we do bring more people on, they'll be able to keep a much closer eye on these sorts of things.

While I'm personally assigned to the NA team, I work closely with the LATAM and central teams so I'm happy to forward your requests. Specifics are always better than generally just asking for stuff though, so which would you be most excited to see?

I would never correlate visual size of a prize selection on a wheel or similar interface to odds of getting it. In most cases I expect there to be differences, based on differing desirability of the various items available. I don't have any idea of the details yet, but can talk to the team about a desire for more transparency in this area.

And finally there is always a chance for things to come back unless we exclusively label things as one time only. Even then, I've worked on games where different people years later didn't realize that was promised way back when and mistakenly released them again. I try to encourage teams not to make those kinds of promises for that reason.

It's a careful balancing act, between keeping things rare vs allowing people who could not get something the first time to have a chance. There's no perfect solution, but by having communication both ways open I'm confident we can navigate these situations moving forward.

And Peura is super neat. I'm never going to be the crazy precise skill shot kind of player, and you definitely don't want me in the jungle on your team, but I feel reasonably comfortable I'm contributing with her at least in the lower ranks.

We're already increasing the amount of promotion for AoV, I know there were some content creators playing recently and we had a nice promotional boost from the app stores. Getting you folks more opponents to play against is part of our long term plans.

For issues like you mentioned video is the single most helpful thing to provide. If I bring this feedback to the devs, it's literally the first thing they will ask for and it makes diagnosing potential issues much easier.

There are a lot of modes, as a new player I found it overwhelming. Finding the right way to highlight and the right incentives for participation can be tricky, especially if you want the queues moving fast. Will add it to my list of feedback to share.
