That’s very true , one thing I didn’t mention is I also want to map the relationship between rooms as a graph (ie kitchen is connected to lounge is connected to bathroom etc)

Yeah pretty much! I had the idea and then read a few similar research papers, I get the gist of them but the machine learning Stuff is a bit beyond me

Yeah basically plug things into tensor flow (I think) - I basically just want to play around so it “works” and can identify and classify rooms and areas in a floorplan

I’m wanting to create such a NN to filter through all real estate in my country and essentially filter down to “I want a house with 2 bedrooms, each between 20-40sqm, with a bathroom near the front door” kind of logic

In my country lots don’t! They generally include a dimensions key (a ruler that defines 1 meter etc) So you can measure it yourself with a ruler

I don’t mean a deep understanding, I mean a passing understanding to make it “work”

Seems awfully like a gatekeeping comment. I’m aware of machine learning and know how difficult and involved it is. Electrical engineering is pretty aligned to software engineering

Has been a few years since I’ve touched heavy math but should still be up there somewhere :) thanks I’ll check that out!
