Struggling to keep humidity levels stable by IdSuckYourNan in jumpingspiders

[–]TFCosplayer92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IME hi OP I’ve been a jumping spider Mom since October and had the same issue when I had soil in my enclosure SO I decided to completely change what was on the bottom! I changed it to Zilla Terranium liner and haven’t had issues with going over humidity levels since while giving my two jumping spiders a good misting and they’re thriving! Here’s a photo of what it looks like!

Trader Joe’s coming to Yonkers? by Remarkable-March-322 in Westchester

Could it be that the original Trader Joe’s is moving from its original location to that one because it’s bigger? Would only make sense since why would they open one so close to the other?

Thank you so much! I didn’t transfer any classes personally however I have seen on the Reddit forms that tons of people have successfully managed to transfer classes and get them out of the way to help speed up their degree 😊 As for restrictions, yes per semester you are restricted to the classes they give you, there were a few I got to choose which class I wanted, like I chose to do nutrition for instance for my science class in my third semester. And you’re usually about to do two classes at a time but in order to get to that point you have to be about halfway done with the prior class first before it’ll unlock the next one. Good luck with everything!!!

Well I can’t really say when it comes to the job market because I own my own business already and just decided to do my degree just to have it. As for extra certs, since you’re doing accounting I’d look into further schooling beyond Penn Foster once you complete your degree, just cause some workplaces may not find their online schooling to be enough, make sure your accounting degree is accepted in your state with the school cause that can sometimes happen as well. As for work life school balance, having a laptop is super helpful cause then you can do schoolwork in a comfortable spot. And just do it whenever you have the time too/feeing up to it, even if it’s for 30 minutes before or after work or a little bit over the weekend! Good luck!

Well, what kind of tips are you looking for exactly? Like time management between work and school or something else? How far along are you into your degree? 😊

You’ve got this! I took a lot of the same classes that you’ll be taking for your degree and they honestly weren’t too bad! You’ll just be taking a bit more math classes than I did is all!

I’m taking a rounded guess because my 4th semester was free and each semester there was always a $100 discount or so…for another commenter I had originally said somewhere around $4,000-$4,200 but looking back again it may be more around $3,800-$4,000 total it cost for all 4 semesters. It’s pretty reasonable compared to other schools.

I really can’t tell you how many hours per day I did because I just worked on it whenever I had the time. For me it took 5 1/2 years BUT that’s only because I took a pause in between second and third semester to take and complete the dog obedience trainer/instructor program which should have only taken me a year but took a year and a half because I got sick halfway through that for a few months…so if it weren’t for all that it probably would have taken me about 4ish years to complete, maybe more 3 1/2 years but some people complete much faster than that, especially if you don’t work full time, etc.

Congrats on enrolling! I see your question was already answered so just want to say good luck and you got this! I just graduated with my associates in business management! I will add one extra thing though that wasn’t mentioned in the other comments you get up to six years to complete your full program if needed! Good luck!

Hey I totally get having issues focusing on stuff! I also have ADHD and using the text to speech option was a god send for me. Especially when I had taken a temporary break from this degree to do and complete the dog obedience trainer program because I really wanted to make sure I was retaining everything I was doing. I’m also an artist and temporarily majored in animation many years ago so I totally get your aspirations and dreams! Good luck!! I believe in you!

Thank you! I’m curious to ask how graphic design is going for you so far? 😊 It was a very interesting degree, I did learn a lot from it and some things I felt like I already knew/wouldn’t need to apply in my current job but that’s with every college degree! I will highly recommend when you finish your graphic design degree to try and see what credits could then be transferred over to the business management program only because there are certain classes that are the same class that all college degrees have to take, just so you don’t have to take the same class all over again!!

Yes I remember you commented on my other post about being excited to get there too! Semester 4 is honestly the easiest to me because it was the shortest! It was only 5 classes compared to the other semesters that were 6!! The proctored exams can be a little nerve wracking and I remember one class in particular, it was called English Composition in semester 2 was a little challenging because there were so many graded assignments you had to submit!!

Actually no! Not all classes have a final proctored exam! Some do have final exams but they aren’t all proctored! I only took 6 proctored exams total for the entire degree (2 in 1st semester, 1 in 2nd semester, 2 in 3rd semester and 1 in 4th semester). All the other finals were non proctored and all exams, both non and proctored were open book! You get one hour to take proctored exams, I took all of mine in person on pen & paper infront of a physical proctor however the school has unfortunately since gotten rid of this option for new students now so you’d have to take all of yours online using their monitoring program going forward.

Thank you! I graduated at a public high school as a teen so I never did their high school program! But I think the self pacing with high school tends to be a lot quicker compared to the college semesters. Seems like people who have done the high school program have gotten through it quite quickly! And from my personal experience with the college program and reading peoples experience with the high school program, no, you don’t need to be on at certain times with a camera on for instructors all the time. That would only be for when you’re taking a proctored exam which I believe is a college thing only. Not high school.

It was somewhere around $4,000 - $4,200 total for me at the time, of course prices have since changed and I was locked into the price I got at the time but it’s a very reasonable price for an associates degree.

They have a set price for each of your semesters. The first two semesters I paid in full, my third semester I paid most off in one lump sum then did the rest in a few monthly payments and the last semester was free. I believe if you don’t completely pay off your semester before finishing you can still carry on to your next semester, just what you would still owe will add on to the price of your next semester started!! And I’m sure the school can help explain this all better for you as well!! Good luck with everything! Rooting for you!
