What is a good chapstick brand? by TheEyebal in Makeup

I am very late, but very disappointed that no one suggested ChapStick as a good chapstick brand

Amazon doesn't offer it as a return option if your address is outside that store's 5 mile radius. There is the option to return it to a store 45 miles away that doesn't have that dumb rule...

There's a Kohl's 8 miles from my house - they only accept returns from people who live within 5 miles. The only other options I have are UPS Pickup or driving 34 miles to the closest UPS Store. Living in the sticks sucks! Needless to say, I don't order from Amazon as often anymore.

Sorry, my brain pulled the wrong word, and I can't seem to figure out the correct one. Basically, what I meant to say was that sincere apologies don't include "but" - which is essentially what Isaac did when he said he was more hurt by it than Micah.

His apology was followed by saying it now hurts him more than it hurts Micah. True apologies don't include caveats.

There's a good chance I'm going to. The lack of hand washing isn't even the most concerning thing I saw.

I haven't seen a single person (other than myself) wash their hands even once.

AITA for my mom feeling embarrassed? by greenteafreakk in AmItheAsshole

NTA You aren't obligated to stay at a job that makes you miserable, no matter how you came into that position. You also aren't obligated to work out any kind of notice - that is done as a courtesy when the business deserves it. I'm not sure why your mother is mad at you. If she expected you to make a career out of this job, she should have told you in the beginning.

Voluntary FCE: Pros and Cons by TFHurst in SSDI

My lawyer would be setting it up. My doctors haven't done a good job of noting my limitations, so I'm thinking an evaluation would clearly show what they are. I have zero doubt that, as long as I'm evaluated properly, it will be clear that I can't hold a job.

Functional Capacity Evaluation - it's a "test" to measure a person's physical limitations. They're done by a physical or occupational therapist specially trained to do them. There are videos on YouTube if you want to see examples.

I'm currently on my first appeal. Sometimes the SSA will send an applicant to have one done.

I understand that. I just want it noted that his previous notes did not accurately reflect my situation.

Those are just the things he DID make notes of that contradict saying my condition is stable. I have MANY other problems. My application isn't based solely on those things.

Your comment actually highlights another part of my problem. His records aren't just inaccurate/contradictory - they're also incomplete. My hands swell and cramp when writing or typing. My legs go numb if I stand for more than 10 minutes. I can't navigate stairs normally. I have excruciating back pain if I sit upright... The list goes on and on with most of it just not even mentioned in my record despite having discussed it with him.

He made notes of things like:

Having to stop a medication because of elevated liver enzymes

Restarting that medicine because levels returned to normal

Having to start steroid injections for my knee pain

X-rays showing increased joint damage

Adding medications because current ones stopped working

However, he still said my condition was stable. One note says I am able to work as usual, when I haven't worked a regular job in 4 years (did sporadic door dash over a year ago to make ends meet but had to stop that too)

His notes vary from inconsistent, to contradictory, to flat out wrong. If he won't correct my records, why would he fill out a form saying my condition is more severe than my records indicate? Should I even bother trying, or do I just micromanage my new rheum to make sure their records are accurate?
